LEX Reception is currently our new answering service software. The entire firm uses it and it helps greatly with screening lead and current client calls, taking messages, routing important calls, and providing 24/7 - bilingual answering for our clients. LEX has specific instructions on how to handle different case types which allows us to more efficiently handle messages and calls within the organization.
Pros
- Only serves law firms - specialized service.
- Portal allows you to make our own changes to call-handling instructions.
- Can schedule appointments and take consultation payments over the phone.
Cons
- Missing functionality - clients cannot send pictures via text through the mobile app.
- Does not have the ability to serve as a Personal Assistant - cannot send call-out requests.
Likelihood to Recommend
LEX Reception is certainly best suited as an answering service for law firms. LEX Reception would be particularly useful for firms that have limited staff and need a solution without hiring an employee or for other firms that need overflow call answering or after-hours call answering. If the firm needs personal assistant/call-out features LEX Reception may be less appropriate.
