I use LambdaTest to test my Shopify apps

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use LambdaTest to test our Shopify apps and SaaS web applications. We test custom Shopify app blocks and embedded Shopify app pages. We ensure that our user experience is not disrupted and that the functionalities of our Shopify apps are working properly for our users.LambdaTest saves time and cost for our QA process.

Pros

  • Custom Shopify app blocks
  • App embedded pages
  • Websites

Cons

  • Live browser sessions can be improved in terms of performance.
  • The accuracy of real device behavior can be better.
  • More advanced debugging tools would be helpful for troubleshooting issues during live testing.

Return on Investment

  • LambdaTest has helped us reduce both testing time and cost
  • It has allowed us to run fewer QA cycles while enabling faster deployments.
  • Our ROI has improved significantly by using LambdaTest.

One of the best testing tools out there when it comes to real-time analysis

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

The best thing about LambdaTest is its real-time device testing, which helps identify specific errors on multiple devices, issues that are hard to detect at once due to limited device availability. The main problem LambdaTest solves is providing access to all devices in one place, allowing developers to identify the same errors they would encounter on real devices. This makes life much easier, especially for developers who regularly face cross-device functionality issues. It's a big plus point that positions LambdaTest as an all-in-one solution.

Pros

  • Multiple Devices of all types available at one place
  • Give Inspect element inside the testing environment
  • Ontime support which helps to solve any kind of issue on the platform

Cons

  • The very first thing is they have to increase the free testing time to 10 minutes per device to actually see the use of the product
  • The every device usage should limit to atleast 2 times per user to actually see the detailed view for the problem or any issues on the testing

Return on Investment

  • Fewer device issues compared to when I wasn't using the platform.
  • Faster delivery of tasks to our clients.
  • The bounce rates on different devices are significantly lower because we release the website or app more frequently on the platform to check for any issues.

Great tool for ios android and cross browser testing

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use it for cross browser testing, testing mobile apps both ios and android on a wide variety of devices, before LambdaTest, we relied on different platforms but they were lacking in many features, api integration to third party apps like mattermost has been like a cherry on cake, as a reactnative dev this has become an important platform to use on daily basis

Pros

  • Virtual mobile Testing
  • Cross Browser Testing
  • Automation

Cons

  • 5 should change to 10 minute free session
  • Device boot speed is fair can be better

Return on Investment

  • Time Saving
  • Cost Saving

Best Tool for testing product with cross browsing along with real virtual LambdaTest

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I used LambdaTest as a tester to test the product on different virtual devices. Which helps me to understand about how I can enhance the user experience of the product. Due to it cross browsing functionality I can test my product performance under different browser including to their version under one roof. Which is one of the great things I have seen and used so far. One of my biggest business problems has been resolved to create awareness in front of my clients about the actual product performance and visualization. Which creates trust and confidence in front of my client towards me and also motivates me to do such good work.

Pros

  • It provides a virtual device that acts as an actual device resolution. Due to that anyone can take a feel of how their product will behave and enact without using actual devices.
  • Another example is that it also provides a virtual browser with their latest version which helps to analysed the performance of the product.

Cons

  • As per my experience i would like to say about the performance issue specially when switching the device virtually
  • Another one which i would like to say about it like session timeout it occurs so quickly if person is inactive while watching and understanding the scenarios
  • One of the key issue which i feel is that about the documentation which sometimes maybe outdate or not provide the in depth info for automation features

Return on Investment

  • One of the positive impacts it creates on my business is like reducing my testing time from 3 days to 1 day of the sprint cycle.
  • Another it reduces my cost of infrastructure in terms of real device to test the product. Which is also one of the positive notes for me.
  • One of the negative points or impacts created on my workflow is like me another team member has to wait for the test session due to the plan limitation.

Made QAs Life Easy

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We had execution environment issues for multi-environment on our Automation test framework that's where LT's Hyper-execute introduced to run regression on the different environments. As soon as our QA team commit the code, Hyper execute is automatically triggers and starts execution based on the Environment and Browsers and when the execution gets completed report is generated with result. It has the dashboard where quickly user can filter out the failed test and analyze for the fixes to be done

Pros

  • Parallel Execution
  • Reporting dashboard
  • Huge Device support
  • Platforms like Android, iOS versions

Cons

  • Improve Support to resolve issues quickly

Return on Investment

  • ROI is around 65% when compared to the traditional automated execution in our org, drastically the time is saved due to parallel execution
