Taking Information Security Learning to the next level

Rating: 9 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Used as a "Global Compliance Training Center" for Information Security, Data Protection, and Compliance Training content. Generates awareness for all these topics. Is used across the whole organization (globally).

Pros

  • Lots of short an easy training content and modules.
  • User Dashboard for learners provides great user experience.
  • Easy to use admin backend for administration and reporting.
  • Modern learning experience with Netflix style mini-series.
  • Option to upload own content (individual SCORM modules).
  • Available in lots of languages and therefore usable on a global scale.

Cons

  • Upload of individual SCORM packages: We are struggling with KnowBe4 support for a few weeks as we cant get 1 module to run.
  • All training in all languages. I understand that you will start with English and other languages will follow but would be really cool if everything is available in German (for our Company) from the start.
  • Implementation/connection to other Company learning management systems: Currently, we have like 2 worlds: KnowBe4 and our Company LMS. Users struggle a bit, as both are not integrated and progress in one platform is not shown in the other. Might be that our platform is too old and this does not work. Anyway, it would be nice.

Likelihood to Recommend

Great for Information Security content and very good at delivering short and easy-to-digest modules of 5-10 minutes. This is a real strength and modules should stick with this timeframe as users are bored if training gets longer than 20 min. Also, the mini-series and video formats are such a great variety in learning content! please keep doing these - users love them.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Our organization is using KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training on a wide-scale rollout. It is being implemented to attempt to help with the problem of people giving away personal or company details, such as their credentials or financial information through phishing by a potentially malicious email or person.

Pros

  • Somehow make learning enjoyable
  • Great experience taking tests
  • Fast and friendly interfaces

Cons

  • A way to stop phishing at the source?
  • More tools to alert IT of security issues
  • More reminders for users who may be susceptible.

Likelihood to Recommend

Not much to dislike about KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training really. For anyone coming and asking me what tool they should use to get their people informed, I would jump on the chance to tell them about this. It's really easy to recommend a cloud product that lives in the web and is dead simple for admins to manage.
