KnowBe4 is simply the best training platform available. They have thought of everything from a user standpoint and ensure that it is friendly, informative, and easy to use. We don't plan on ever using anyone else!

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use compliance plus for a number of required trainings throughout the District. Our main focus is on cyber security, however we have also utilized a number of HR related trainings as well. Those include Blood Borne Pathogens, Sexual Harassment, Ergonomics, Active Shooter/Intruder, among others.

Pros

  • Ability to schedule trainings out in advance
  • Ease of employees to take trainings on their own time
  • New and Engaging Trainings and Scenarios
  • Up to date and relevant trainings in todays world

Cons

  • Ease of printing of certificates for employees is cumbersome
  • Ability to run thorough reports for users when trainings are completed.

Return on Investment

  • Our staff time leading trainings has gone down which has allowed them to focus on other tasks
  • KnowBe4 was the most cost efficient for us with all of the trainings it provides compared to its competitors.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

The training KnowBe4 provides, like sexual harassment prevention videos and IT security training, is very easy for employees to use. It is a simple process, with informative videos that employees can access at any time before the deadline. We use KnowBe4 mostly for these trainings, addressing workplace requirements that all employees need training on in order to work for the company.

  • Easy to access & complete trainings
  • Simple, self explanatory dashboard

Cons

  • Videos are informative but cheesy
  • There should be a timer function to know how long employees have to be "in" the training to meet the time requirement to complete it

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Used for two reasons, one is for prevention of harmful emails. This includes training and phishing campaigns. Other is for LMS functions. This is incredibly valuable in maintaining NISP training requirements. Policy function is used for most NISP training as well as company policy distribution.

Pros

  • Setting up training/phishing campaigns. Clone feature is great.
  • Policy training function. This feature has been a real timesaver.
  • Catching harmful emails. Monthly campaigns keep folks from getting lackadaisical about looking at emails before opening.
  • Documentation of training via the LMS. Such a timesaver!

Cons

  • Creation of cvs file for user upload can be a bit vexing.
  • Last used notification templates being at the top of list vice bottom.
  • Ability to create custom reports vice editing reports that can be generated.
  • Ability to generate custom proprietary training vice using "Policy" function as a workaround.

Return on Investment

  • Man hours used to track training has been greatly reduced. Gone from ten hours to manage a training event to less than an hour. applying to over a dozen annual training events.
  • Recognition of harmful emails. Reporting of suspicious emails has greatly risen from one or two a month to over a dozen. Reduced reporting of spam as suspicious email as well.
  • Historical data base of completed events and associated data with events.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We are using KnowBe4 Compliance Plus in our company to provide our users knowledge needed to comply with regulatory laws, so that they are able to protect themselves and at the same time protect the company's reputation. the KnowBe4 Compliance Plus is an addon that can be added to the KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training functionality.

Pros

  • The training material is just awesome!
  • Videos are really well targeted and engaging!
  • The material is available in many languages and not just in English!

Cons

  • Although there are many languages supported, this doe cover a certain presentence of the content and not all the content. This percentage could be higher!
  • Some of the content is outdated. New content is being added, but the outdated content is still also available.
  • We would like to see some group based training modules with group challenges that need to be faced / solved by groups working in a set scenario.
  • The phishing simulation templates are offered mainly in English. It would be great to have more of them available in more languages.

Return on Investment

  • The damage for example a single ransomware attack would cause can't be compared to the cost of the KnowBe4 Compliance Plus trainings that can help you avoid such a disaster...
  • The extent of the topics employees need to be trained for is o vast that it is unrealistic for any company to create training content on their own. No company can pay for that. KnowBe4 Compliance Plus trainings have minimal costs compared to that of creating even small a fraction of the offered content on your own resources...
  • Training content management and deployment over the platform is a great time saver!

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Training videos regarding the importance of privacy and security when using email and the internet. The important points of being aware of phishing, not opening emails automatically -even if they seem to come from legitimate senders. Being aware of not sharing passwords and not being careful with where you access confidential information.

Pros

  • explaining points in a user-friendly manner
  • having videos that staff can relate to
  • highlighting the issues that staff should always pay attention to.

Cons

  • Some of the actors are a little stiff
  • Have the setting of videos in non familiar settings like research facilities
  • Some of the videos seem dated

  • By having staff more informed of electronic security, the less chance there is of spending money to address any security violations
  • The vast options of training makes it cost efficient to train staff multiple times, with different topics.
  • One department can share all the classes with many different departments
