Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We like to use Jungle Scout to help us find potential products and brands that we can resell on the marketplaces and our own website. We also use it to help track the momentum of our own products and for keyword finding. We typically use it daily, and it is our go-to tool for opportunity finding.

Best suited for individuals or businesses that need a jump start on selling on Amazon. Our company wishes that we found this tool earlier in our Amazon selling career because they know how to find great opportunities. Only good for the one marketplace though--you'll have to research or find other tools if you want to sell on other marketplaces.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I've used Jungle Scout for the last 4 years within my ecommerce company mostly for market research. It allows me to better understand product opportunities when I first begin researching a new market or product. Once I've established my product in a new market, Jungle Scout also helps be understand trends and the actions and behaviors of my competitors.

Presents actual data on current products in a marketplace
Reports changes with competitors based on alerts
Provides daily sales snapshots

Cons

Jungle Scout offers a vast number of features and tools but compared to their primary/original service of product research, the other features aren't as reliable or useful
Because of feature clutter, the interface can be difficult to navigate and finding the information you are looking for can be frustrating.
Their fee structure is frustrating. The basic plan is crippled by a low limit of products to follow but the next tier is absurdly high for most casual users.

Likelihood to Recommend

Even beginning ecommerce companies will be able to benefit from Jungle Scout's product research platform for a reasonable price. However, if you are a full-time business owner, the only tier that offers the selection of features you likely need is the highest tier at $1000 a year. I feel intermediate tiers of features could be available for less.
