Our organization uses Jamf School for assigning iPads and MacBooks to teachers and students. We also use it to choose which app each device gets based on what groups or classes they are assigned in Jamf School. By assigning devices to specific people we are able to track the device if ever lost and limit what can be added or removed from specific devices.

Jamf school is amazing at device management as far as tracking devices, installing apps, removing apps, pushing out updates, and putting persons in specific groups or classes based on the needs of the student/teacher. There could be improvement in the instance where you send an iPad for repair and it returns with a new SN and you have to swap out the license from one SN to another.
