isolved serves as our sole HRIS, time entry and management system, and payroll processing software. We also use benefits management, onboarding, and other functions provided for in the basic software. iSolved is in use by or organization continuously every day.
isolved streamlines HR and payroll functions with our employees and provides not only HR and pay functions, but also very advanced access to our employee data for use in many other ways outside the system.
Our employees are able to access isolved through the portal to accomplish all their day-to-day actions like time entry, leave entry and management, and accessing their personnel records. The fact that everything is available to them through on login.
Pros
isolved is incredibly accurate and effective for processing out payroll and executing payment of wages. isolved is incredibly accurate and effective for processing out payroll and executing payments for wages.
The system enables employees to access their own data and perform their own leave management and pay maintenance without risk.
The data analysis and reporting/data export functions are second to none. It allows access to and manipulation of fully relational employee records and information.
Cons
While the UI has improved over the last few years, it still needs updates to match its competitors’ modern feel.
The system needs the ability to create and publish custom forms so the data contained in the system is directly usable. The boiler plate .pdf and Excel output options fall far short in many areas.
Likelihood to Recommend
isolved is incredibly cost effective and capable for a mid-size organizations looking for full automation on SAS online software.
It would be overkill for very small organizations and not meet the needs of larger organizations without the addition of many of its optionally purchased add on modules.

I process payroll for over 500 employees bi-weekly. Some of our employees have complicated and sometimes unique contracts, and isolved makes processing easy. We can import files to make mass changes, and set-up rules for pay and step increases based on years of service or anniversary dates.
Pros
Customer Support
Versatility
Dependability
Cons
Menus can be complicated and confusing
Phone app & 2FA are very glitchy

This is a great system for our Township, because we have such a diversity of employees: part-time, seasonal, contracts, union, salary and hourly. isolved also makes our robust benefits management easy for HR Administration and employees. I can't think of a scenario where isolved wouldn't be a good fit.
As the HR Generalist, I onboard new hires, add benefit plans to employee's profile and make adjustments to accruals, time cards when needed.
Pros
Tracks Certification Expirations
Simplifies Onboarding process
Gives employees easy access to profile
Cons
Consolidate items to make changes to Gl, Jobs, Reviews
Simplify the Reporting feature
Make set up of new items more user friendly and less techy

isolved has the capability to do a lot for employers, but the method in setting certain things up becomes difficult. For example, to set up the Review process - there's multiple places you have to go in order to get the initial set up prepared before you can administer. If everything was in one place, and more accessible, it would be less frustrating.
We use isolved for all employee related functions from timekeeping and payroll to leave accruals and employment information. If any issues arise, our team is great at helping us work through them. If I had a criticism, it would be to make it a little more customizable in some aspects.
Pros
Payroll
Document Center
Leave acrruals
Cons
Compensation Report
Ease of use- not having to go to multiple screens to change information- should be a workflow
Slightly confusing finding information on the CM side of things to update/edit
Likelihood to Recommend
iSolved is great at onboarding employees and storing all their personnel information in once place. One area that is lacking is some of the customizable pieces for some reports (not all), as well as when changing something, it may need changed in multiple places, but you have to know where to go. A workflow set up to prompt the next change would be helpful, but understood that this may not be possible in all scenarios.

I use isolved for employee benefits administration, including open enrollment. We onboard and pay employees using isolved, and employees view employment, pay, and leave data in the system. Lastly, we use our isolved system to share forms and data with employees.
Pros
Quick response to questions
Consistent support: assigned representatives
Frequent updates and improvements
Cons
Better integration of all modules from one login/page
Ability to customize the employee landing page
Quick data for administrators, i.e., employee census on landing page

I've used isolved for over 5 years and have communicated with the same representatives since my start. They are knowledgeable about their systems, and able to quickly assist when issues arise. I look forward to the ability to build and administer Open Enrollment on my own and with a quicker turnaround time.

We use isolved as our payroll and time keeping system and tax reporting and remittance. We are a small organization with no formal payroll or HR departments, so we are able to leverage isolved to fill these gaps. We also use some of their HR services, such as onboarding, training, and compliance.
Pros
easy to use
great customer service
wide variety of service offerings
robust reporting tools
Cons
Making changes to pay items usually takes several ties to get them right.
Time keeping for employees could be more user-friendly.
Not as knowledgeable about governmental benefits, such as 401a plans
Likelihood to Recommend
isolved works very well for us as a small employer. It is easy to navigate and maintain, as we don't have many changes each pay period. I'm not sure how it would work for a larger employer. We definitely don't use all of the features available, but it seems like it would fit just about any sized organization.
