Extremely average hosting - bad tech support
Use Cases and Deployment Scope
iPage is being used by several of my clients as a domain registrar and hosting company. One client also uses the GSuite with it and has some of their other products such as SiteLock and an SSL certificate.
Pros
- Clean user interface
- Fast website
Cons
- There appears to be no cPanel. This is something that is standard across just about every hosting company and it makes it easy to quickly find what you're looking for however I have not been able to find one in iPage. This makes it a less than attractive option for me.
- Very slow tech support. Getting someone on the phone takes ages and then once they do put in a ticket for you, it might be weeks until the problem gets resolved. Really unsatisfactory in this regard.
Likelihood to Recommend
I would say iPage is about average. They have WordPress and Weebly for site building along with their own version, but don't offer any others. There is no cPanel which I dislike as I use that quite often with all my other clients. iPage does have a clean user interface and is probably ideal for a small non tech savvy user.
