Invoiced was never able to successfully launch at Kanopy, even after 9 months of attempting. We held numerous pre-sales calls with their team to ensure our needs were properly explained, however, it later became quite apparent that Invoiced has many flaws in its software and is not robust enough to handle Enterprise-level companies. We purchased the Enterprise license in an attempt to provide a payment portal to customers, automate collections for thousands of receivables, and provide payment history on-demand to our customers for reconciliation purposes. Invoiced was supposed to sync with Netsuite out of the box, but the reality is that the only way this occurs is if a company elects to make absolutely zero changes to their instance, and every feature remains default to standard settings. Such a company that doesn't have a single unique setting simply does not exist, and Invoiced lacks the expertise and preparedness to work with larger companies. In fact, they do not even have a real implementation team. We were placed into working with the founder of the company, who did not have any plan for us, and fired from the hip every week trying to navigate.
Pros
Provides integrations with credit card companies and direct debit providers like GoCardless.
Sales team does good demos, but be VERY careful because these demos may represent an unachievable scenario if you are a larger business or one that has more than the most basic, vanilla needs.
Nothing else, all other experiences with Invoiced were negative.
Cons
Communication is the #1 failure - the Invoiced contract Term starts PRE-launch on day 1, yet Invoiced had an extremely slow and encumbered way of onboarding and trying to set us up.
Core Product: In our testing, their core product broke numerous times, and if this were in a live scenario we would have been devastated. Be very careful as they don't take ownership for maintaining their integrations with all software, and things can break at any moment with updates
Systems: Invoiced rolled out updates that contained faulty code and damaged our accounting system. The lack of expertise, at least in NetSuite, is very dangerous and I recommend having in-house develops watch Invoiced's moves very carefully if you do end up trying to use them.
Lack of Ownership: We tried to terminate multiple times, only be to requested over and over that they can fix the problems. We gave them more time since we were so heavily invested from a time perspective, but they did not own the failures and we were even lied to directly by senior management in a remarkable failure to adhere to basic deadlines.
Likelihood to Recommend
A 1-10 employee company with no accounting system integration needs and no customization may be suited for Invoiced. Although I wish I could, I cannot in good faith recommend any other scenario for which Invoiced is the right solution. Perhaps a subscription service that is very streamlined on autopay could work as well, but I cannot speak to that scenario directly. I do not think Invoiced can be trusted to integrate with accounting software, certainly not NetSuite, given the aforementioned reasons. There is a very high risk of system failures, connection breaks, improper code built into the core bundles, and they will blame the company for anything that is not totally standard operations. In summary, if your business does anything unique at all from a transaction lens, I would be very careful as Invoiced may promise to handle it in a Sales pitch, and then 9 months later it could still be unsolved. All the while, they are charging you even if the product is not launched, and they also will not let you terminate, because Invoiced will deny a "breach" even in the face of a directly observable example just to ride out the contract and keep all the money.
We use invoiced to create recurring billing with our clients. It solves the problem of having to chase clients to get paid. It also allows the clients to store their payment method as auto-pay so that any future payments can be paid automatically without the input of the client. If a credit card payment fails, it will alert the user. ACH payments this is not the case as invoiced cannot get notification from the payment processor that we use (BluePay).
Pros
Super intuitive and easy to use
Lots of automated tools you can set up
You can use multiple payment processors -- 1 for ACH and 1 for Credit Cards
You can set up reminder emails for recurring payments-- all companies should implement this for recurring bills.
Cons
We used to be able to see the monthly recurring revenue of active subscriptions in the dashboard but they removed that feature. I don't see why they had to remove it but they are not adding it back in.

I think Invoiced is great for businesses that have recurring invoices or work with the same client over and over and you can store their payment. I don't see it as a great tool for businesses that only need to invoice one client at a time.
We used Invoiced to securely store customer payment information, create invoices, and set up a recurring subscription payment model. We also use it to process payments through our merchant and have it communicate with QuickBooks to align payments with the corresponding invoice.
Pros
Easy to use interface
Quickbooks integration
Lots of data reporting options
Cons
Difficult to see all missed/outstanding payments in one place
Difficult to issue refunds
Likelihood to Recommend
Invoiced works well if you don't like using Stripe or Quickbook's interface for issuing invoices and matching them in your books. Invoiced automates this process and acts like a middle man -- which you may not need -- for this aspect of our business.
