IBM Lift Reviews & Insights

I started using IBM Lift at SquareTrade, and still, after joining Verra Mobility, I found that it was the main data migration tool in the entire organization. It has helped our business to migrate and consolidate data from multiple data sources into a single Db2 warehouse on cloud.

IBM Lift is the most effective tool for migrating mass data from different on-premises applications into the cloud with high speed. I would recommend it since it offers two data migration options; Disk transfer service and cloud mass data migration, which all work perfectly well.

IBM Lift is being used by our department for moving data. We produce a huge amount of data in DB2 every day, and we need to move it into Data Lake. Lift extracts the data in a very fast and efficient way, which solves the problem very nicely. Without Lift, we may need to write very complex code to achieve it.

It's well suited for data migration, that's probably why it's called "lift". Although it's designed for migrating data from on-premises data centers to IBM Cloud, it actually can do more than that. In our case, we only use it to extract data from DB2 into CSV files.

It's especially helpful when the data size is very big because it can handle that very fast.
