I'm a business partner and use IBM Security Guardium for demos and learning, with multiple databases, motors and brands using demo policies and rules, also the UBA and Threats analytics modules are excellent and better than other manufacturers. I have used the other Guardium portfolio products and they are a good integration strategy.

IBM Guardium is suitable for database security in most scenarios. I do not recommend IBM Guardium with EXSTAP configuration, the RedHat OpenShift cluster is expensive but STAP, Univeral Connector and data streams monitoring methods are good and enough to a good database security strategy, its vulnerability assessment and threat analytics modules give great monitoring and security methods.

I think the product's really good at, actually it's probably like 70 30 in favor of integrity and counter fraud and if you use it in that space as opposed to necessarily being all about cyber attacks because it's not millions of ways you can attack a database from a security perspective.
