We use the IBM FileNet Content Manager in our organization by having much of our content on the convenient cloud-based application. By utilizing the system that is there, we are able to allow many people from different areas, cities, etc, to utilize this program and be on the same page within the company.

Due to the large amount of unstructured data used in our organization's day-in-day-out operations, we use IBM FileNet Content Manager for effective management and storage. This data includes briefs, documents, software packages, and records. Our use of IBM FileNet Content Manager has made accessing these files seamless and secure. In addition to managing these files on one platform, we also enjoy automated workflow.

Firstly, their user interface is outdated and can be upgraded to meet the new age
Also, reduction in software upgrade time, it is often time-consuming.
The reporting functionality requires a new age upgrade too.

I used the tool to work with some corporate clients as this was the tool they used to customise the data model based on the business requirement and handle all data format, with the ability to handle a lot of files easily. It makes it easy to work on complex projects.

The content navigator is a simple tool to use, implement, integrate, and customise. Both tools are simple to use and incorporate into existing business procedures. Additionally, we make use of Content Manager on Demand and Content Collector.

Initially to save time and interact, collaborate with low code tools and especially content search. Integration of external file shares was a real challenge as well as payments. I think we are using at the end of the day only a little part. Next step would be the migration of the ecm.

All our patient records are stored digitally, IBM FileNet has been pivotal in managing the records. The data we generate is massive and IBM efficiently organizes, indexes and retrieves these records. Whenever physicians need to access patient medical history, they can quickly retrieve them from the systems. It also allows us to restrict access to sensitive data to authorized personnel only, thereby ensuring our compliance with HIPAA.

Detailed Audit trials for all document interactions.
As our organization grows, so does our data volume, IBM FileNet Content Manager seamlessly scales to accommodate this growth.
The search capabilities are powerful and we can quickly find information just by typing a name.
The version control feature ensures that every change, edit, or contribution is tracked and documented.

Cons

While it supports document sharing and version control, features like real-time collaborative editing and threads are missing.
Mobile access capabilities are limited.

we are using IBM Filenet content navigator to search and receive update all document at customer site which are from all the Israeli industry from bank to insurance companies
all our customer's are asking the same request that the preview size of the windows will be largare and the page will be split to 2 part
one side is the document properties and the other half will be the document preview.
at the moment thumbnail and other view of the document via the navigator page are not satisfying .
