Best Suited: As fims are working on their AI journey ,they will be looking to move large amounts of Data. This is perfect for IBM Aspera on Cloud as it provides a simple yet scalable solution for moving data.
I use IBM Aspera on Cloud for secure, high-speed transfer of large files across teams. It solves issues related to slow transfers, security, and remote collaboration. Our use case includes media distribution, data synchronization, and cloud integrations.
Pros
High-Speed Large File Transfers
Secure and Reliable Data Exchange
Seamless Cloud Integration & Scalability
Cons
User Interface Complexity
Limited Customization in Automation
Pricing Model & Cost Transparency
Likelihood to Recommend
IBM Aspera on Cloud is great for fast, secure transfers of large media files, big data synchronization, and cross-organization collaboration. It’s less ideal for small file sharing, infrequent use, or companies with limited IT resources due to cost and complexity.

I was looking for a professional solution to manage media files for projects in the cloud with editors and clients. I had used Aspera when working on larger studio projects and love that this had the same interface without the need for hardware infrastructure!
Pros
Secure
Fast transfers
Industry brand recognition
Cons
Price, more expensive than Dropbox or Google Drive
Up/down fees make it harder to budget properly
Likelihood to Recommend
Brand recognition is trusted by the film industry. Makes you look more professional than sending a dropbox or Google Drive link. By far the fastest way to move a LOT of data securely
I use it to transfer audio and video files to other departments in the business to complete the final stages of our promos in our business. The issues would include corrupted downloads, half downloads or long delays in the final download. Also, the program just quits half way through sometimes and then I need to reboot the program and delay my work deadlines.
Pros
Smooth downloads
Nice interface
Easy to understand steps for final downloads
Cons
Slow downloads
Bugs that make the program quit randomly
half downloads that you only notice when you view the final file

In one specific situation I had to quickly transfer about ten files really fast that were really large but my colleague from another company only had Aspera and it worked so well with no errors and was so fast. It was really helpful to get our promo done with our strict deadline.
We use IBM Aspera On Cloud for one of our divisions. All others are
still using legacy Aspera applications (Faspex, Shares, Console,
Orchestrator) and Signiant's. The division using AoC is primarely
because of the "Workspace" feature. This is letting us segment different
workflows while not granting access to administrators and managers to
more than what they need to access.
Pros
Segmenting workflows with the workspace feature
User friendly modern interface
Better than the competition for many features
Cons
The Files App needs to have the Search through sub folders features
Transfer Nodes management could be simplified
Console (Activity) application needs to have a lot more features (like Aspera Console)
Automation application needs to have Aspera Orchestrator intergrated totally
Improving administrators features. (SMTP relay tracking, notifications on failures, etc)

Even with the missing features, I can give a score of 7 based on my experience working with most of IBM Aspera's competitors. A lot of what I love about Faspex and Shares are in AoC, most of it actually. The pricing model of IBM Aspera on it's own is a time and costs savior, as the many "cost traps" of other application suites are a burden we rather avoid.
In our use case, IBM Aspera on Cloud supports interdepartmental and external client collaboration, mainly involving large datasets, project files, and multimedia content. It's especially useful for data-heavy projects that require frequent exchange of large volumes of information within tight timeframes.
Pros
Speed and Efficiency
Security and Compliance
Cons
deeper integration with cloud storage services
more detailed, customisable reports on transfer metrics
Likelihood to Recommend
Well suited to media and entertainment Content Delivery, less appropriate for for teams that work primarily on mobile devices due to lack of a fully functional mobile app

We started using IBM Aspera on Cloud because of one of the products we are testing uses it to host the files and also use it as their base. When we first using t, we did have a few issues to set it up correctly especially with multiple users and log-ins. Once we passed that hurdle, everything runs smoothly and we have had no problem ever since.
Pros
speed is adequate to download/upload files
UI is easy to follow
Cons
Well UI is easy to use for people who uses computer all day, it has potential to improve for others
Likelihood to Recommend
as a baseline solution to move task that is traditionally done on a PC to cloud.
IBM Aspera on Cloud solution provides easy access and a user-friendly interface that makes it easy to use for all users. Sending files as a package allows you to transfer files to your own space by adding cloud storage. I used it by adding aws s3. You can manage all your teams as a group or single user from admin panel.
Pros
user interface
You can attach own cloud storage
Admin panel
Cons
Providing all user statistics
Access to invoices in one place. It would be great to access it from the IBM Aspera on Cloud page.
Likelihood to Recommend
There is a lot of bureaucracy, if you have a problem with an invoice, you don't have much support. You are drowning in web pages. IBM Aspera on Cloud should improve point-to-point file transfer. It should allow to throw high size files on onprem storage. They should release much easier integration software to automate things on the cloud side.
