User friendly time tracker for remote paid-per-hour employees.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

In our organization we use Hubstaff to track the staff's working time. We all work remotely and this is the way the organization found to pay for the staff's work and also make sure everyone is actually working during their shift.

Pros

keep count of the staff's working hours
take screenshots of the staff's screen
create report of the working hours separating by projects

Cons

Sometimes there's a slight delay when someone stops recording the monitor, causing it to take a screenshot of something not work related just because it took a screenshot not exactly when the user hit the stop timer button.
It has the ability to send a report at the end of the week, it would be usefull if it also sent you a total per project, to avoid going inside the site to just check for that in case you need to make an invoice.

Likelihood to Recommend

Hubstaff is well suited when project managers want to know if their remote paid-per-hour employees are ACTUALLY working. The screenshots allow you to see if they are indeed working or not. If the employee is involved in a lot of meetings though, maybe it's not the best option, 'cause the idle time won't be counted UNLESS you made adjustments after you get a pop up.

We track the activity levels and time spent on various features and activities across all our work, including client work and internal projects, so we can measure effort spent against the resources we have budgeted. As a fully remote team, this is very helpful for keeping team members accountable, however even without being remote it would be a critical business tool for us in terms of measuring and reviewing our budgeted resources.

Nothing springs to mind - it's fully fit for purpose

It is time tracker software that helps teams to focus on tasks by allowing them to track each minute of their day. It assists organizations to reach the next level of productivity by better project and team management.

Pros

It has a perfect, intuitive user interface and offers good reporting features. It allows you to run businesses effectively by incorporating it into other apps such as Asana and Jira.
It enables you to add various projects and track workers' time on every project. It offers a dashboard with online timesheets.
It is a robust time tracking platform that provides everything needed to run teams efficiently. It enables team leaders to send client invoices, pay workers based on their working hours, and view detailed reports.

Cons

It provides some functionalities that are not customizable. It needs to provide more flexibility as it does not allow you to disable manual editing records within certain tasks and projects.
Payroll incorporation is quite clumsy when starting. The navigation of the user interface is quite tough.
One major drawback is that it only tracks mouse and keyboard activities. It needs to resolve issues and correct glitches. The price is a bit high in comparison to other similar tools.

I like that I'm in control vs Upwork they are in control so if an employee bills me unnecessarily i can not remove it there. thats tough to handle

the reports!!!! I can never remember how to do it the way I like
please set up auto email for certain reports on the 1st and 15th so I don't have to go look it up!!!
interface is a bit clunky

Hubstaff is using by the technical department and QA department and Jr. level Marketing team. Hubstaff is solving our time management and team activity tracking problem. It helps us the most through the whole pandemic with work from home. Now we are making more informed decisions about employee performance and project total time allocation. Even we can share this with clients also in case of outsourcing the team for transparency.

Cons

That Hubstaff discontinued with Basecamp was problematic.
Sometimes it shows wrong activity count of team.
Sometimes there's a difference between time calculated in admin panel and in employee panel.
Should give discounts.

Likelihood to Recommend

As a matter of cost, it can be less suitable. It's not that costly but still can be lower for regular customers. It is most recommended when we are following the work from home strategy. The daily activity of the keyboard and mouse needs to be more optimized. Hubstaff tasks is less appropriate, With basecamp, it was almost perfect.

We are using Hubstaff to track tasks and time that was spent on that tasks by our employees. It's giving us the ability to automate reports and not spend time manually filling in data. Also, it's giving the ability to work anytime you want and gives better flexibility time for employees. From the report standpoint of view, Hubstaff helps to keep transparent data to customers we are working with.

We use Hubstaff for every member of our small 10 person team — including management — whether they work locally or remotely. We use it with the Trello integration to track paid time for all employees. We use blurred screenshots, but the admin login details are available to anyone internally so that it's not about surveillance, but rather it's about being accountable to each other as a unified team.

Hubstaff is one of the most effective plus efficient time tracking software which has been serving its customers for a while now. The software has made a great name in the field due to its outstanding features. As a user I have been enticed by Hubstaff due to many factors like its seamless integration with more than 30 applications as it helps running my business more effectively. Moreover, Hubstaff works a lot better with streamlined time management and I really like this about Hubstaff.

Pros

Hubstaff is backed up with some good quality and meticulous tracking.
Ever since we started using this software I have truly admired the way Hubstaff introduces us to some basic and simple techniques for handling workflows of different loads.
I feel that Hubstaff is great and super easy for scheduling shifts for employees.
Hubstaff really leverages all employees working in the company as when an employee tracks their time incorrectly so Hubstaff provides a window of opportunity to the employee to correct his or her mistake by submitting an error-free correction again. Also, Hubstaff has greatly mitigated so many admin jobs as well.

Cons

There are many advantages to Hubstaff but this should not be outweighed by its disadvantages as they also hold immense value.
Hubstaff removes all the collaboration which sometimes is disappointing.

Altogether, keeping all the advantages and disadvantages in mind I would recommend Hubstaff for businesses because it is also very well priced which is why it will be suitable for different types of businesses belonging to different magnitudes. Usually software is so expensive that smaller companies are not able to benefit from it, so one reason I am suggesting it to others is the cost-effectiveness of Hubstaff.

Hubstaff is one of the finest time tracking software available as of now in the market. Hubstaff has some great features. It accurately tracks time with the lightweight desktop. Hubstaff has made my life so much easier in time tracking because its' features always save me from any type of inconvenience. Hubstaff is easily available on different software like Android, iOS, Mac, Windows, and much more.

Pros

Keeping in mind the current unprecedented situation of COVID-19, Hubstaff has been further important as it has been used by us in different types of trials.
There are many great features about Hubstaff, which make it my favorite software.
It is very easy to schedule shifts for all employees of my business.
Its customer support is responsive and professional.

Cons

I feel that the reporting is pretty mediocre.
There is no advanced tracking in Hubstaff, which is a disadvantage. Moreover, I feel that live chats should be readily available.

I personally think Hubstaff is a great software that has commendable features which excel in aspects like tracking the time and employee monitoring. It is also a great platform because it adds so much weight and substance to project management. Hubstaff is streamlined time tracking and team management software easily available in the market. Hubstaff has made time tracking so much easier. It is always handling my tasks super efficiently and effectively. It keeps me updated about my team members and also the amount of time they spent on a particular task. Hubstaff is very user-friendly and I have never found any trouble in finding the right tool.

Pros

Its interface is also quite easy to handle and is designed in a user friendly way.
Overall, I feel that Hubstaff is a very useful invention that has the ability to attract and fascinate users.
Hubstaff offers a customizable and easily tailored according to your requirements user interface where with the help of just one click you can start or even stop tracking your daily project activities.

Cons

Firstly, corrections in Hubstaff can be a little tricky to do at first and interactions with Windows 10 are also not the best. Moreover, I have noticed that the notifications for switching a tracking status get sent out twice instead of once.
Also, I believe that there should be an option for live chatting. Other than that, I sometimes feel difficulty in integrating a serious issue I think that needs to be fixed. Also sometimes dragging and dropping features is also a little difficult.

Hubstaff is one of the best choices for such businesses as it is equipped with all pivotal features that will help you in giving exact direction to your business.
