I use HubSpot CRM to keep track of prospective companies and contacts at those companies. It really helps me with organization and keeping track of my outreach activities. The business problem this solves for me is saving time and keeping organized.

as a medium sized business HubSpot CRM gives us a good size of features without charging the same as something like sales force, and we can still manage it ourselves. it handles contacts, deal management, renewals, email campaigns and more.

I work in tech sales and I couldn't do my job without HubSpot CRM. All of our client data is in HubSpot CRM, as well as billing and stuff like that. We also use it for outbounding efforts to generate new business for the company. It's super easy to use and I'm very grateful for that.

HubSpot CRM is great for outbound efforts. It allows you to create sequences that make outreach super easy. If you're a growing business, you need HubSpot CRM to streamline everything. It's good for bigger companies.

I don't think it would be a good fit for smaller companies. It makes sense if you have a lot of prospects to reach out to.

I use HubSpot for my sales and sales ops team, and it has been helping my business run day-to-day work smoothly for the past 5+ years without any roadblocks or so. With HubSpot the ease of use along with automations & workflow is what it makes it more powerful.

Pros

Buyer's journey being mapped super efficiently be it in contact/lead/deal object field.
Workflow & ease of automation is what makes HubSpot a really good CRM.
Ease of use

Cons

Powerful reporting & it's reporting ability to handle complex reports as well when we create custom reports.
Better scheduling and appointment module and flow something like how calendly does that.
Better integration with slack and other internal communication tools.

Likelihood to Recommend

Best suited for sales team, sales ops, success, support, marketing and any customer centric teams looking to scale things up efficiently and seamlessly is where HubSpot does the trick and hits the node.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use HubSpot to manage and store new leads generated through our ads, such as Google Ads. It is connected to our Salesforce account, and that makes them a very powerful duo for our sales and marketing operation.

Pros

Good connectivity with other tools, such as Salesforce.
User-friendly, integrative dashboard with a clean layout and easy to learn.
Contains all the necessary information about a new client or lead.
It can be used in a variety of different ways, not only for data storage but also for direct contact.

Cons

As it offers many features, it can be a bit confusing at first use.
It is often used in conjunction with other CRMs, but the platform could consider a different positioning.

Likelihood to Recommend

We are not fully using HubSpot’s features, especially in marketing. Today, we use three tools, HubSpot, Google Ads, and Salesforce, when HubSpot alone could do the job. This results in additional work for the team and increased costs. If possible, I would suggest reviewing the process and utilizing more of HubSpot to simplify and reduce costs.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

HubSpot CRM is the centre of all my companies sales operations. I solely run the sales function, and upon joining I knew that HubSpot CRM was needed as I had used it in my previous role.

I currently use it for cold outreach, so it houses contact information, and then I also use it for email work by using the template function, and as the sales operation grows I am monitoring deals through HubSpot CRM, by creating custom fields and utilising note taking.

I have integrated HubSpot CRM into our Gmail so that it tracks all of my email work, whilst also tying it into our LinkedIn automation tool so that it creates contacts based on LinkedIn connections.

HubSpot CRM has become the central pillar of the sales operations.

Pros

Field Customization meaning it is easy to track the information you need
Easy to use UI, very streamlined and simple to use
A wide range of integrations makes it easy to use it as the single source of truth for your organization
List and view creation is varied meaning it is easy to segment data

Cons

Could be slightly easier to edit custom properties once they're already in use. For example changing from a single line text field to a dropdown field isn't possible if the field is in use in certain areas
The remember me function when logging into HubSpot CRM through Google is a bit patchy and leads to be having to repeat log ins
I find it can be a bit slow to reflect changes to user status (admin - super admin) for example

Likelihood to Recommend

From my experience I find that HubSpot CRM is the perfect CRM to use when working in sales. I have used other CRMs and they just don't have the same functionalities as HubSpot CRM. By combining their integrations (gmail, aircall, website tracking), alongside their easy to use UI, and simple custom field generation it is the perfect centre for tracking all outbound sales work.

I also love how easy it is to manipulate filters allowing you to create very specific outreach lists when dialling. It is also just as functional for deal tracking, as due to custom fields / list creation you can separate out contacts that are in deals from those that are completely cold meaning it is easy to keep nice and clean.

I have not really uncovered any areas where it is less appropriate as of yet, as for sales and outreach it has done everything I would need it too.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use HubSpot CRM mainly to manage our sales leads and stay on top of follow-ups. I use it to track conversations, log calls and meetings. My day-to-day of using it usually has me looking at my tasks, checking out new signups, updated conversations and deals, and the timeline view of the conversation trail is super helpful. We have a couple of apps and tools integrated with HubSpot CRM, so that makes the different ops workflows particularly productive.

Pros

Timeline view and conversation log is extremely helpful and an underrated feature; this is in addition to the entire user profile view.
Task management is simple but effective.
Deal and company tracking with stakeholder management inside companies / deals is very handy; we know what is happening even though we might not be directly working on it.
Gmail integration is quite smooth along with email tracking.

Cons

The mobile app could be better. It is fine for quick updates or checking something on the go, but it feels limited compared to the desktop version.
In my time of using Hubspot, the dashboard UI has changed twice I think, and it certainly isn't helpful when you're trying to get used a new view entirely.
I have observed HubSpot CRM sometimes has issues with large lists, and shows incorrect number on the list page versus the detail page.
Search can be improved, because sometimes it misbehaves or doesn't show what is expected.

Likelihood to Recommend

It works well:
1. Small to medium scale startup; Growing list of leads (1000s) and deals (100s)
2. If your team has a lot of sales and support members and related work, HubSpot CRM helps in bringing a lot of visibility.
3. Want a CRM that is easy to setup (maybe hours to days).

It MIGHT not work if:
1. For very custom reporting
2. Team needs a lot of heavy mobile access; say you have a door-to-door or road ops team.
3. A very big and operational heavy organization.

HubSpot CRM allows multiple teams in our organization to track clients from start to finish. This helps our Sales team hand deals off to our Implementation and Customer Success teams and helps keep everyone aligned. We can also look back at notes that help when a customer reaches out in Support later on.

Sometimes the search yields incorrect results

We really like HubSpot CRM and haven't yet been able to find an application that does what it does better. The search is sometimes not the best and could be improved to search more fields or return more intuitive results. Infrequently, the app will go down, as any can, and because it is so useful to our team, that downtime is pretty impactful.

We currently use HubSpot CRM in our organization to gather leads from our website. We have forms that are filled out whether they're price calculators, request demo or even pre-demo surveys that are then populated into HubSpot CRM. We also integrate HubSpot CRM to Salesforce for our day to day CRM. HubSpot CRM has been more of a marketing and gathering info tool for our website from website visitors.

It does it's job and have no real complaints. It collects the data needed from our lead and customer visits on the website which is crucial for our sales team. It also shows when a lead visits certain pages, clicks certain areas, and when they fill out the form with pertinent info in them.

I utilize HubSpot to gain insights and data from our sales team, which informs me on my onboarding and customer account calls. The way we leverage HubSpot creates a uniform record of an account from lead to retention in our customer success journeys. We manage over 1,000 company accounts and tens of thousands of leads and users associated with them.

Pros

Clear attribution/assignment for activities and tasks.
Versatility of record keeping methods.
Accurate, consistent search and filter tools.
Meeting scheduling.
Internal comms.

Cons

Organization of tabs/menus.
Meeting scheduler time blocks/limits.
More robust integrations.

Likelihood to Recommend

HubSpot is wonderful for Sales > Customer Success handoffs, making it easy to prepare for meetings. The ability to browse users, companies, and deals on a single page is ideal for early-stage customer success work, as well as for ongoing support throughout a customer's journey. A specific example of this is preparing for a recent kickoff call, where I was able to see the users' desired use cases, objections, and concerns all in one note that came directly from our note-taking tool. A place where HubSpot needs improvement is the ability to limit meeting volume within the meeting scheduler, as I work on a small team and onboard all our new customers. I can get booked 5-7 times a day, and with our 45-minute onboarding call structure, that can significantly disrupt my off-camera work. Having to add calendar blocks limits new customers' options for timeslots, but it is the only way to manage my calendar efficiently with the HubSpot scheduler.
