We have a software with a lot of features. With that, comes a lot of use cases and configurations that we need to keep track of. Everyone had their own personal version of an internal knowledge base, like the Notes app or a Google Doc. Guru allows us to share all of that knowledge effectively, especially for things that we don't necessarily want to publish for customers. We can add cards and edit cards really easily and then it's there for everyone to use and see. We also keep internal process docs in Guru which are easier to find and keep track of than Google Docs.
Pros
Easily add and edit knowledge.
Search for a card and find the answer.
Integrate with Zendesk for auto updated resources.
Cons
WYSIWYG editor on cards.
More native integrations for auto refreshed resources.
Allow for cards to have no verifcation.
Likelihood to Recommend
Guru is awesome for an internal knowledge base. The permissions are great and it's easy to add cards through Slack or from Chrome. It's also easy to edit and collaborate on cards which is helpful for our company size. It doesn't fit our needs for external facing education.

I use Guru to find information quickly so I can assist members quickly. It has everything organized in a way that allows me to find what I need in different areas or departments. That way I can answer a member's question efficiently and effectively. I can also use this to help formulate ways to translate information so I know the members will understand it.
Pros
Organization
Ease of use
Implementation of data
Cons
Have a AI system to ask questions for quicker use
Allow different ways to save specific information and not bulk

Guru would be amazing for something like a customer service or help desk role. Someone who may work in a fast-paced environment needs to be able to find their information quickly. I can see an IT desk for a company is very beneficial in using this system for the organization of data and ease of use to assist members.
I use Guru to search through our company's knowledge base so that I can assist our members as accurately as possible while remaining in compliance with our policy.
Pros
It provides multiple options when trying to find answers.
Guru is able to take keywords that I type in, to find the best answers for me.
Guru is so easy to navigate. There are many options to use, but it is so simplistic.
Cons
I have not found any issue that I feel need improvement.
I guess it could be good if I could customize my dashboard in colors I prefer, since I look at it 5 days a week.
I would like the option to have the Guru card read out loud, for those who may have problems with pronouncing some of the words.
Likelihood to Recommend
I like how Guru gives you multiple options for your search, so you can compile the perfect answer for your customers.

Guru has changed the way we work as a team. As listed below, we had many issues trying to find a home for all of our event details, and now Guru is that space for us. I was receiving so many questions about events because no one knew the details before attending, and now, everyone can see them and know what to expect. My attendees are going into events feeling much more confident and secure in our commitment and attendance. I was expecting my team to adopt 25% of its features, but we have surpassed 90%! This has been wonderful for our workflow and how we interact with each other as well. Below, you can see the issues we used to have and how Guru has helped solve them. I would recommend this product to anyone who has the same problems as I once did. We used to have these issues: -Nowhere to house all of our event details -No updates on new information -No ease of finding details -Tons of questions from event attendees because they were not set up for success. How is Guru solving these issues? -All details are on one platform. -It is straightforward to navigate. -New information notifications are available to card subscribers. -Event attendees feel well-supported and know what to expect.
Pros
Information organization.
Able to send push notifications to team members.
Custom card templates.
User controls/access permissions.
Cons
Tech glitches.
Formatting options.
Company customization.

Guru has been amazing in making sure my team is well-prepared by giving them information that they have been lacking. Keeping things all in one spot has been a game-changer for my team, and there are no questions about where something is located. "It's in Guru!" has been my tagline for the last eight months (since implementation)! Guru has not been great as a content keeper of PowerPoint presentations. I am looking for a solution for this, but in the meantime, we are still using a computer file folder to store all of our presentation materials.

We LOVE Guru. It has changed the way we think about knowledge management. We've found so many ways to use it and are loving all of the updates that have come down the pipeline over the last year. The AI integration is HUGE. Our employees can ask a question and Guru answers the question and cites our sources. We went from having documentation scattered all over the place to having 5 beautiful, clear collections that make it easy for our team members to find exactly what they're looking for without the hassle.
Pros
Organization
Customization
Simplicity
Cons
Public-facing resources
Likelihood to Recommend
We use it as a knowledgebase for our internal and external training content, policies and procedures, team member life stories, and everything in between. It's great for documenting things like learning and development processes and expectations. Our new hires loved having Guru as a support. The rest of us wish we'd had it when we started!
Having many moving parts and gaining and regaining knowledge is a constant effort for growth, finding and using that information in an easy, visually appealing way. It acts as a place to have all the different moving pieces of knowledge easily found and kept up-to-date. Given the wealth of knowledge within each department/unit, it is a good way to share information.
Pros
validation of the information so it is updated regularly
template setting for reoccurring use cases
the way it organizes the stacks
Cons
better way for users to organize their content other than lists
filter advancing, based on multiple factors
the ability to create another workspace within a workspace
Likelihood to Recommend
If you have a huge knowledge base or sort of a wiki-informational page, if you have high collaboration, and many moving parts and need a way to organize and have the entire participant base be engaged in posting their knowledge, this is a really good tool to achieve that. If you are looking to organize the information by tagging or topic, this is a really good tool.

The library was using a Word document to record procedures and policies of the library. The Word document became unwieldy and could not be gathered easily into a manual with a table of contents. We tried creating a Word Master document without much success. We happened upon Guru while searching for a better way to create procedure manuals. Since we had such a small budget, the free version made Guru all the more enticing. We have since expanded our use of Guru to include a collection of programming ideas and employee policies. We are considering using it as a project management tool. I was very excited to be able to allow our library board access to the procedures based on the last edit date and to share procedures with other libraries with the print to .pdf function.
Pros
table of contents
placing files under one or more user's purview
Quick and easy access for the whole organization
setting review dates for documents and specific reviewers
Cons
The free version has limited text formatting options.
In the free version, it is time-consuming to reorganize the order of files.
The free version does not integrate well with Grammarly.
The free version has a few kinks in the print to pdf.
Likelihood to Recommend
In my opinion, procedural manuals are the best use. The free version would not be well suited if the end document had to be held to company branding standards.

Guru helps to organize company information and be able to access it anywhere. It is a great software to manage workflow and to be able to give access to all employees. It helps with onboarding and streamlining internal communications so we do not have to use multiple forms of communication.
Pros
communication
organization
management
Cons
mobile formatting
price
updates during the night

Guru is well suited for a company that is managing multiple departments. The onboarding is easy to allow new staff to find all the company knowledge that they need. It is easier than hiring an admin role because Guru takes over all the paperwork. It works great for onboarding and paperwork management.
Guru is utilized by all members of our company to store historic and verified information about all of our products, processes, procedures, and more. It's extremely helpful to find information easily and quickly and enables team members to be proactive about doing their own research before asking questions in public channels.
Pros
Stores information that is easily searchable.
Asks for verification of information to ensure knowledge does not become outdated/stale.
Chrome extension makes it super easy to find information as you need it.
Cons
Easy to lose track of verifying information on a regular basis.
Over-reliance on it as a way to announce important company updates can happen and is not a great way to share key information.
Can easily get to be too big to manage.
Likelihood to Recommend
Guru is the perfect tool for when you need to document processes and updates that you know your team will need to reference on a regular basis. You can link to other documents and cards if there's additional information they will need, but you want to be careful not to use it as the one way you communicate information to your team members, as it can quickly get out of hand.
