I use Grammarly to spell check grammar check my work. And I also use Grammarly AI tools to make my work more readable and optimized. I mainly use it for digital work like blog posts, webpages and newsletters. It helps me become more agile as I take on more clients and work.
Pros
Spell check
Grammar check
AI
Cons
AI could be better
UX could be better

It is good at its core function, which is spell check and grammar check/optimization. The AI is ok but not great compared to ChatGPT and Claude.
I use Grammarly on a weekly basis to create content for websites, social media, advertising and other business-related content. The various settings help adjust my goals for the type of content I'm creating and the tools and plagiarism checker helps ensure what I write is perfect for potential customers. The tools built into Grammarly make it so I don't have to worry about my grammar or spelling and can easily free flow ideas and come back later to easily fix any issues.
Pros
Ease of use - Grammarly is super easy to use. Anyone can use the app whether in a text editor like Microsoft Word or on the Grammarly website.
Integration - This one is a game-changer. It integrates with the main programs I use on a regular basis including email, Microsoft Office, Firefox, desktop, phone and iPads. I didn't need to change to anything or use something different so it was an ideal match.
Goals - This is a really cool function of Grammarly. With Goals, you can choose your audience, formality and domain type. So it works for a wide range of users. Depending on the audience type, Grammarly automatically can suggest changes to your content to help ensure your goals are being met.
Cons
Memory - I have a lot of programs I need open on my computer and multiple tabs in my web browser. I need them all to do my work. I have noticed a slow-down of apps opening or it taking longer to open a browser window when Grammarly is activated.
Business Plan - I would love to use their new style guide feature, however, it would more than triple my monthly cost because they offer it at 3 users per month. I am self-employed and with the multitude of programs I already pay for on a regular basis, it doesn't quite fit in my budget to upgrade. I'd love to see a solopreneur plan.
More Integration - It does integrate in a lot of ways already but instead of having to copy and paste from Grammarly into the apps it doesn't integrate with, it would be nice for it to integrate with other apps that could be beneficial, i.e. Canva, Hootsuite, etc.

Grammarly is a great tool that would work well for writers, business professionals, students, and more. The app is incredibly useful in helping to improve writing and offers tons of tools like idea generation, outline drafting, using a specific voice to reach your audience and checking for plagiarism, to name a few.
I use Grammarly to help quickly edit content within docs and emails. Grammarly provides suggests to clean up my writing to make it more succint and easy to understand.
Pros

re-writes sentences to be easy to read
offers different wording to improve tone of voice
Cons
sometimes suggestions are too formal for me
sometimes the suggestions are not correct
Likelihood to Recommend
Grammarly quickly suggests grammar issues and makes it easy for readers to understand business emails and simple documents. However, it's less helpful for marketing copy when you have a specific tone of voice for your business.
I use for creative writing. Especially writing stories or screenplay. I also use it to write copy for advertisements. It helps in better sentence construction, grammar, vocabulary, setting a tone, etc.
Pros
grammar
vocabulary
sentence construction
Cons
cost should be reduced

With Chatgpt available Grammarly is going to face tough competition. But it is the best software yet in its field. I have tried others as well. I feel they can make it more affordable for the customers so they will think of using it rather than chatgpt. If they could bring in new features especially for story writing or screenplay writing it will be of great help to writers like me.
I use Grammarly to help write compelling emails, a few customer presentations and internal reports. It helps me make sure there are no spelling errors and the writing is clear. It's essential that customers and stakeholders are able to clearly understand what I am trying to articulate. Without Grammarly, my poor grammar and self diagnosed dyslexia would create damaging confusion internally and externally.
Pros
Improves Grammar and Spelling
Helps improve Clarity
Suggests style improvements
Voice and tone correction
Allows words added into dictionary
Cons
Wish I could install directly into outlook
AI feature isn't good enough to understand niche business terminology

It's essential for users like me that need to clearly articulate messages to internal and external stakeholders. To have voice and tone suggestions is a lifesaver. Grammarly can often be the difference between a message having the complete wrong tone and getting the message across perfectly. If you need to approach a delicate situation, Grammarly has repeatedly suggested me to lighten the tone. The little pop up suggests a more friendly tone and almost always transforms the way the message comes across. Also, being able to write directly into Grammarly and get live suggestions as you go is a massive timesaver for writing reports. The end product will always have much more clarity and quality.
Grammarly has been amazing for us. We use it with all of our writings. When we are creating email sequences for lead generation, website content, blog content, and simple everyday tasks. One of the best parts is the Google Drive integration. My copywriters use it with their Google Docs, and when I open the doc to proof it, Grammarly also makes recommendations for sentences so the article sounds the best it can before going live on a website. The ease of integration of Google products such as Docs and Gmail make our writing sound great!
To be completely honest, while typing this out, I just kept typing and Grammarly helped clean up this review even as I had some typing errors and sentences that just didn't make sense. If that is not proof enough, I don't know what is. Grammarly saves hours of manpower proofreading our content so we can focus on providing the services we do best to our clients.
Pros
Spell Checking
Punctuation
Making sentences sound good
Cons
I feel like Grammarly has started to use a lot of commas in the last month but maybe my writing actually needs them?

I have Grammarly integrated into everything that I can. I use the Chrom Extension, so any content I write, I want Grammarly to correct and make better.
Grammarly is great for collaboration. My team and I are not in the same space, so we each work on the Google Doc in our own office; yet, Grammarly makes sure everything is correct no matter who is writing the content.
I haven't found a scenario where Grammarly wasn't helpful or I didn't want it to correct my writing to improve it.
I use Grammarly on any browser text box type of projects. I have been saved countless times from having lousy grammar or misspelled words in my communications. I am using the program right now as I tye this review to make sure everything looks excellent for my review! I used to misspell many words, and now I copy and paste all my text that cannot be checked into the program just to be sure it's correct.
Pros
Grammar correction
Writing suggestions
AI Text generation
Cons
False reccomendations
Industry Specificity
Adaptation to personal writing style
Likelihood to Recommend
I would wholeheartedly recommend Grammarly to anyone. I appreciate having the safety net of an app that can double-check everything I write. When I work in outgoing communications, it is imperative that everything be spelled right, or it will be reflected on my company when I do not spell something right.
We have Grammarly on top of all written communication from documents, emails, even interoffice chat channels. I cannot remember how many years we've been using Grammarly, but I feel like it's been 5+ years since we first discovered it. Initially, it was more spelling/grammar corrections, but now it is helpful with tone and ensuring the tone is what we intend.
Pros
Spelling
Grammar
Tone
Clarifying sentence structure
Cons
Industry terms need to be added constantly
It seems to want a more formal tone when a casual tone will sufice
Occasionally signs us out unexpectedly

So AI seems to have been the 'thing' in the last few years. Grammarly has been our AI friend for many years before most people even knew of AI with the exception of a scifi movie. Regardless if you're proficient in writing, it's great to have an editor of sort constantly reviewing your written words. It would be really nice if there was a version that could listen to what you're saying and then provide verbal recommendations.
Grammarly helps me write copy. I write web pages, sales pages, email copy, blogs, LinkedIn posts, etc. Grammarly helps me make sure my writing is as clear as possible and offers suggestions for how to make my writing better. It also helps me modify my tone and write in a way that speaks to the audience I'm writing to
Pros
Grammar suggestions. Grammarly is very good at identifying grammar mistakes and typos and fixing them for me
Writing analysis. I love the analysis of my writing that scores me based on how concise and clear I am
Tone adjustments. Grammarly is very good at identifying specific tones and offering alternatives that help make the ton sound better
Cons
Some grammar suggestions are too strictly enforced. Sometimes you need to break the rules for a certain tone and it's annoying when Grammarly makes deliberate grammar choices as incorrect
The Chrome extension widget can be a little annoying sometimes. I don't like that there are only a few places on the screen where you can anchor it, I want to be able to move it anywhere since sometimes it obstructs my view
Sounds too formal sometimes. Grammarly's AI suggestions make my writing overly stiff and formal sometimes
Likelihood to Recommend
Grammarly is great for most professional writing scenarios. Replying to emails and messages, writing blog posts, writing academic papers, writing webcopy, etc. I would not use Grammarly for writing fiction since the focus on grammar sometimes takes away from creative choices. You should also not use Grammarly when writing poetry for the same reason
I and my team use it to proof content for the agency and for clients. It helps with readability and grammar. It can also help see if there s any plagerism, this really helps in an age of AI where originality is scarce. It is one of the most user friendly tools.
Pros
UX
Grammar
Readability
Cons
Plagerim - AI focus could be better
Use across all platforms - doesn't work in Agency Analytics

This used to be my go to tool to recommend. I still love the tool and use it in Google documents. However, it doesn't work in all platforms like other tools so I have dropped it down slightly as I know recommend Lanaguage Tool for the team who work in Agency Analytics.
