Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Freshstatus to maintain a status page for our website availability and to keep users updated on service outages. We use it to keep track of scheduled maintenance and maintain a single resource to share with customers when there is an issue with any of our background services and infrastructure.

Pros

  • Clean UI
  • Automated email notifications
  • Upcoming maintenance scheduling

Cons

  • Hard to integrate with other systems
  • Maintenance issues are not automatically resolved
  • No integration with the rest of Freshworks

Likelihood to Recommend

Freshstatus is good for creating a simple status page that you have to update manually. It's not a good fit for automatic monitoring because it doesn't integrate well with other services. We have to manually update the status when any of our infrastructure is degraded or becomes inaccessible to end users.

There wasn't a dashboard or information platform to inform our community about work being done or status of our applications. I found the need of this platform.

  • Ease to set up alerts.
  • Customization

Cons

  • Fetch status from known services such as Google Workspace, Zoom, etc.

I believe the interface and ease of the platform make it super likable and bring me back to continue its use.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

This platform provided us with methods to displays our system uptime to our entire base as well as allow our clients to subscribe to the status page where we can decide if we want to notify everyone when there is a change to our system uptime. Super customizable and easy to implement

  • Allow more subscribers
  • Better SSL implementation
  • More auto connected services

If you are a software company using various cloud services to ensure the functioning of your application and if you need to communicate any changes that affect these services and hence customer experience, then this is a great product to use
