What is Freshsales?

Freshsales is a sales force automation solution for sales teams. It provides features that help salespeople to attract quality leads, engage in contextual conversations, drive deals with AI-powered insights, and nurture customer relationships. With built-in email, phone, chat, and telephony, Freshsales gives sales teams more time for selling by automating the sales process. It includes Freddy AI, salespeople can get insights into the best deals to go after and what actions to take and predict revenue with sales forecasting.

Freshsales works great for our team.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Freshsales as our CRM and contact management software. Our sales team uses it to track leads, create deals and manage our entire sales pipeline in general. Our Management team uses it to track activity and set up weekly reports. We also like that it integrates with most of our existing Tech stack and is quite customisable.

Pros

  • Great integrations. Its very seamless and easy to set up your integrations. It also integrates with pretty much anything you might want to connect it to.
  • Really easy to use. Our team doesnt need a detailed training set up for new users to start using it.
  • It also has great resources for self learning and a pretty solid support team.
  • Pretty customizable, worked well for our use case with minimal tweaking.

Cons

  • While we like the way we have set up reporting, I think that is one area where it could see significant improvement.
  • Initial set up a was a little rocky and it took a few tries till we had our pipeline and workflows nailed down.

Return on Investment

  • It has improved our sales process and workflows significantly.
  • Integrations reduce duplicate efforts.
  • Price per user is very competitive so it has saved us a fair bit when compared to market alternatives.

We use Freshsales to track our organisation Business Opportunities, leads as well ongoing engagements with our clients. Freshsales has become a critical part for our Business success, as we manage our new accounts and leverage add-ons/additional offering to the existing accounts.

  • Able to mark up the software and resell to your clients so I would say it has improved our ROI.

Cons

  • The interface itself can be made easier for some people especially who are not tech-savy
  • After importing, you could make the errored file viewable in the interface itself instead of an email
  • Had to reach support to know where to upload files related to a contact the first time

  • I was able to follow up with the prioritized leads and able to achieve my sales target
  • Able to see my calendar and emails on a contact with outlook integration
  • Couldn't get Microsoft Teams integrated with Freshworks as they do not have it immediately

Usability

Overall Great CRM

Pros

  • It helps you automate your onboarding process for new leads.
  • It has lots of integrations with other apps, so you can interact with other things like calendars and calls.
  • It's pretty easy to set sequences so the platform automatically follows up with people for you. This is not only helpful for your sales pipeline, but also for client communication when working on a project that requires their input.

Cons

  • Their tech support is pretty bad. I think I get a helpful answer maybe 20-30% of the time. I wish they would actually think about the problem and try to find a solution instead of sending a scripted or another completely unhelpful answer.

Return on Investment

  • Freshsales has definitely had a positive impact on our sales. It's difficult to nail down the ROI it has generated, but it's well worth the cost.
  • The savings is mostly in time spent on lead and client follow up, so we can handle more leads and projects with a smaller team.
