Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Foundations has been a wonderful relief. You can build reports that you need. Several normal reports are at the click of a button. It lets you add shortcuts on the side and reorder them easily. I love that when looking at a report in the system, if something is blue, I can click on it and it opens it in another tab. I can have multiple tabs open. Jump from doing one thing to another and back again. I import employees from the onboarding system. That saves enormous amounts of time. It tracks pto, eeo, tax info. It has made things more efficient for me.

Pros

  • stores images of documents with invoice or ar
  • imports time for payroll
  • imports employee information from onboarding

Cons

  • it has frozen on me while working-though this has not happened often
  • when saving, it has forgotten the mapping

Return on Investment

  • time management
  • efficiency
  • reporting

ADP GlobalView Payroll

Foundation Software Construction Accounting good for some things and not great at others

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use it for A/P, A/R, Payroll, Accounting, Job Costing, and Equipment Management. It works well for prevailing wage payroll, but the timecard system is clunky and I think it could be streamlined. It does the bare minimum of job costing. It does not work for issuing purchase orders the way we need it to. It does the bare minimum for equipment tracking. In our experience, nothing is automated and very little can be customized.

Pros

  • Prevailing wage

Cons

  • I think A/P Invoice approval could be much smoother.
  • Purchase orders should be more detailed able to be issued and easily modified and enter invoices against them.
  • A/P check distribution should let you select checks for ACH payment and printed check in the same run.

Return on Investment

  • it has made payroll more efficient
  • it has allowed us to track some job costing
  • it allows us to get invoice approval electronically
