We have been using FileZilla for many, many years as our main go-to for file transferring on our server. It offers the stability you'd expect and allows for a variety of connection types. The bulk transfer (import specifically) is nice because it has a variety of options for overrides. Over the years the upgrades to FileZilla have been stabile (no matter what operating system version you're using).
Pros
The Site Manager is well designed and allows for a variety of secure connection options.
The software itself has always been very stable and very rarely crashes
It's free! Their normal free version works well and has tons of features.
They didn't embed anything extra like annoying adverts.
Cons
Some of it's user interface could be a bit better designed (at least updated) to more of a modern look, but it's not really that big of a deal.
Inside the software it shows you various windows all embedded in one box. Moving the sizes of those windows around is a bit weird, especially if you just want of the windows to go away.
From time to time it can hang due to a timeout with the server connection. In those instances, I wish FileZilla would give you a heads up as to why it locked.

FileZilla does FTP transfers the way they always should be: simplistic, secure, and no fluff added to the user interface. I've recommended this to colleagues in IT for many, many years, and I've never heard someone come back and complain about the software. It is the best in the industry (and has been for a long time).
We use FileZilla as a secure FTP service so our clients don't have to email sensitive documents.
Pros
Easy to install and configure
No startup fees
Easy to manage users and shares in one location
Cons
Some client's have complained about installing the client side app
There is no express deployment option for clients where they can click on an inhouse made executable file to install
It would be nice if there was a web interface for clients instead of a local install only.
Likelihood to Recommend
Once the server and client are installed and configured it is a great program. If a file is interrupted during the transfer the program has an option to pick up the transfer where it left off. This is huge because often we are dealing with massive files. It would be nice if there was a web interface option.
We use Filezilla across the whole organization. We've found it to be a very reliable and secure FTP/SFTP tool. Sometimes we use web-based FTP services but FileZilla is free, fast, secure, and has a great user-friendly interface. It has a very low learning curve as well. We have new users that learn to use it quickly, and we have experienced users of 20 years that use it with advanced features. Overall, I've never had any complaints or issues with FileZilla and I'd recommend it highly.
Pros
Very easy to use, low learning curve.
Lots of options when it comes to connection choices, ie FTP/SFTP/SSH/SSL, etc.
Smooth updates, never have to fear an update crashing the software.
Cons
None yet!

I'd recommend FileZilla all around, whether it's by a home end-user or an employee of a thousand-plus corporation, that's how versatile it is. Possibly the only scenario where it might cause a problem is if the user is not admin-level, therefore the user won't be able to install updates, but there might be workarounds in that scenario.
FileZilla is being used by me to access our company and client FTP web files. It assists with file backups and is a helpful tool when migrating sites. It provides a quick interface for access files that need updating. It solves the problem of remembering client accounts and makes it quick to navigate between client files.
Pros
Creating multiple site sites and managing them is easy to navigate.
File management is easy to use. Creating backups and managing updates of the remote site is a breeze.
Cons
There could be a better interface for managing file and folder permissions.
Uploading and downloading many files can sometimes be slow. An estimated time of completion could help make the transition more enduring.
Likelihood to Recommend
When setting up multiple sites quickly, many sites offer a FileZilla file that quickly and easily sets up FTP access to their site. If updates are needed to many site files, downloading those many files may take time as opposed to updating them directly on the server. Keeping the local files up to date is important especially working in a team environment.
I'm not sure if FileZilla is being used across the entire organization, but my team has been using it for years. We are currently using Filezilla for the secure file transfer protocol or SFTP. This is how we are able to transfer secure data from files on our computers to our payroll system (Ceridian). It can be a bit tedious, but it works.
Pros
File transfers.
We have a production and test database to transfer to.
It lets you know when your files error out.
Cons
Sometimes it can be tricky to find out where your file went.
Some transfers take longer than others.
The application crashes from time to time, causing you to have to start over.
Likelihood to Recommend
We use FileZilla for data transfers that we cannot do directly in Ceridian or other applications. It is helpful in transferring data in and out of various systems, which helps to eliminate a lot of the manual work that we used to do.

We use FileZilla for file transfer between our internal FTP servers and external clients. Of the software we tested here, it has become our favorite.
Pros
Good FTP address management.
Synchronization between local and remote folders.
Easily locate remote files.
Cons
The interface is a bit polluted, could be better.
Likelihood to Recommend
For file transfers between local and remote machines, this is the best software. You can manage the addresses of FTP servers by grouping them into folders. You can synchronize the browsing of your local folders with remote folders. Edit files and save them directly to remote FTP.

Filezilla is the default FTP client in our company. Though not everyone uses it, it is installed by default on every single one of our office computers. We use it to quickly transfer files between local machines and client servers. It is a free solution to one of our most common actions in the office; uploading files to servers.
Pros
Site manager for storing login credentials.
Easy drag and drop interface for transferring files.
Multiple connections in different tabs.
Cons
I would love a command line interface so I could more easily perform actions on the server. For example, you can upload a compressed folder to the server relatively easily, but there is no easy way to extract it on the server without switching to an SSH client.
Uploading directories with hundreds of files can take a very long time, which is why it's desirable to upload them as zip (or tar) files and extract them on server.
Likelihood to Recommend
FileZilla is great for uploading and downloading files on a remote server. It offers a strong and intuitive drag and drop interface which is easy for even novice users to understand. What it isn't really good at is managing files on the server. It's much easier to move and delete files at the command line than it is to do the same actions via FTP. This isn't specific to FileZilla though, it is an inherent drawback of FTP in general.
I use FileZilla for most of my FTP activities like uploading/downloading files. It is very lightweight and easy to use. On top of everything, it's free. One of the best open source software in any category. As an integration consultant, I often come to projects where files present on FTP need to be integrated. This requires a lot of uploading/downloading of files for testing purposes. FileZilla comes in handy in these scenarios. Its Pro version is also not very costly. What I most like is that I can give this to any new team member and they can start working on it right away without the need for training.
Pros
Very lightweight and easy to use. Very simple interface. Literally, no training required for the user of any role.
Quick connect feature remembers your credentials and let you connect to previously connected sites in one click.
Most importantly, it's free! Pro version is not that costly either.
We can limit the network speed too. It often comes in handy when we need to save some bandwidth for other processes.
Cons
Support for the product is one area for improvement but having a free/cost effective (pro version), you can't complain much.
Some would say its interface is not very pretty, but it's easy to use which matters most.
Likelihood to Recommend
FileZilla is useful for all type of FTP activities like uploading/downloading files, etc. It has a very simple and self-explanatory interface so it is well suited for newbies. You can give it to any team member and they can start playing with your FTP server.
We used Filezilla as a main file transfer tool between our servers and local computers. It was used mostly by software development team members. We exploited FileZilla a lot because its file listing schema is very user-friendly and easy to use. Besides usability, it allows us to use key pair files to reach our cloud computing storages such as Google cloud and Amazon AWS.
Pros
File transfer speed
Directory listing system is a tree and so easy to find your files
It allows using keypair files to access Amazon AWS
Cons
Once you delete an item, it is gone forever. There might be a place like a trash folder that requires us to empty it once it reaches a certain size
Updates might be released more often
The granularity of the transfer action might be implemented for files to be transferred
Likelihood to Recommend
It is well suited for a scenario that involves a plethora of file transfer tasks among several local and virtual machines including physical servers.

I use it for myself in my daily work to update files on our company's servers. It's often used by colleagues also.
Pros
It's nice to maintain applications and sites up to date since offers very useful features.
Cons
It could be better on handling multiple connections at once. There should be a feature to execute the same action, like upload a file on multiple servers at once. This would be useful when you need to update a file on more than one server.
Likelihood to Recommend
It's very useful in every environment where you have to transfer files via FTP protocol.
