Business Problems Solved

Users of this software have found it to be incredibly useful for a variety of tasks. One key use case is the ease of large file downloads from a file server on campus using sftp. Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Our Technology department uses Fetch to maintain files on our website. It allows us to keep an organized database of files—mostly photos and PDF documents needed by people accessing our website. It's a quick and simple application that requires little training on the user end.

Pros

Quick uploads
Easy to access the file links.
Dependable: Doesn't crash or get hung up during transfers.

Cons

The UI could use a refresh.
I'd like to see a place to save connections rather than accessing from "recent connections" every time I open Fetch.

Likelihood to Recommend

We use Fetch alongside our website that's built on WordPress. We have some databases set up on our site that pull from Fetch folders, and in some other places on the site, we simply link to files we have stored on our server through Fetch. There is nothing fancy about Fetch—it just gets the job done!

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Fetch to allow employees in multiple regions to submit expenses to a central accounting team. This allows us to save employees' time in tracking and submitting expenses. It helps to standardize expense reports and saves paper. While Fetch doesn't track mileage or other expenses directly, it gives a single 'portal' for an employee to track their expenses.

Pros

Consistency: Fetch gives our employees a single portal to enter expenses, avoiding email confusion and lost paperwork.
Clarity: Fetch allowed us to set up departments with one single 'approver'. This way employees would submit expenses and their boss would get a notification reminding them to review pending expenses.
Support: It was easy to communicate with humans at Fetch and they were able to help us with questions we had.

Cons

Desktop usage: Fetch is very much geared toward its smartphone app. While there is a desktop browser interface, it is limited and not at all straightforward.
Detail: The framework of the system used by Fetch was logical and worked well, though it was a bit limited. For example, submitting mileage was the same as submitting meal expenses.
Historical data: The accounting team could easily view historical expense data for employees, but the manager of a team was not able to get this detail with their user permissions.

Likelihood to Recommend

Fetch was a great upgrade for us when we started using it since we were moving from a paper/email based manual expense system. It would probably work well for a smaller company with a few departments. We pretty quickly hit a wall with it where it essentially met our needs, but we had to live with many limitations. Again, it was an improvement from a manual expense system, but there could have been more detail to the expense reporting options to handle standard situations. A few months ago Fetch announced that they were ceasing operation. I'm not sure if they were shifting directions or if they got acquired, but the expense reporting system we used went away.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Fetch to reimburse our employees for out-of-pocket expenses. It is used across the whole company - about 10 people submitting expenses in a given month, 3 approvers (department heads) and one accounting user who makes the payments, runs the reports and integrates them into Quickbooks.

In the past, we let people email receipts or 'self-built' expense reports with tables in Excel; and then we had to cut each person a check whenever we wanted to pay them back. Now, employees have the Fetch mobile app and simply take pictures of receipts; when the manager approves an expense it gets paid out to their bank account automatically via Fetch.

Pros

Simplicity - employees just take a picture of a receipt and select a category - that's it, nothing more to do
Automation - Fetch automatically pays the employee back once an expense is approved (debits the company bank account and transfers it into the employee's bank account via ACH)
Real-time - employees don't need to wait until the end of the month or something like that to send an expense report in, but they do it real time, which also gives the accounting department real-time visibility into outstanding expenses

Cons

Multi-currency - you can only submit expenses in USD and pay them back in USD. That hasn't been a problem yet, but I guess we'll have to ask employees to do their own conversion if they submit a non-USD receipt.
Needs to have employees install the iPhone or Android app

Especially in a small team, where we trust our employees and just need a simple way to deal with a tedious process, Fetch is great!

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Our organization purchased Fetch to streamline expense reporting and management within the company. Individuals on our team travel frequently, make business-related purchases for our fulfillment operations, the list goes on. We were submitting spreadsheets with receipts attached in monthly emails to my business partner / our CFO, who proceeded to categorize and reimburse everyone after going through the submissions. It was a headache for everyone involved. We did some digging online and came across Fetch, signed up for the 14 day free trial and haven't looked back. Our entire team can now submit expense data on the fly, in real-time to our CFO, who can instantly approve them for reimbursement at the end of the month.

Pros

Receipt capture accuracy is awesome - I was proofing them at first and never finding errors, so stopped doing that entirely
Simple categories - Expenses get divided into Submitted, Approved, and Paid. Extremely easy to see the status of submissions at a glance.
Email receipt capability - You can just email receipts to receipts@fetchmoney.com and it automatically connects to your account

We are a small company (15 employees) but we travel quite a bit, and often have to make business-related purchases on our own accounts. Fetch has been perfect for us at this stage of our business. Our CFO has found it simple and easy to manage with 15 total users. I cannot speak to how successful a larger operation would be at implementing this, but have no reason to think it wouldn't be straightforward to scale within a larger company.
