We use Everyware Cloud to communicate with our industrial IoT devices. It made the process of connecting devices, receiving data, and sending command very easy, even for non-technical users. The suite of operational tools are exactly what you need for device management, and the data tools are sufficient for routine monitoring. Everyware cloud also provides a robust API for extracting data and building out your own internal systems.
Pros
- Easy of getting started.
- Lots of device management features (location, VPN, remote commands).
- Robust API with multiple methods for extracting data.
Cons
- Data query tool has limited options for slicing and dicing.
- Event automation is not intuitive.
- UI is out of date.
Likelihood to Recommend
Everyware Could is great for companies working with IoT who are in the early stages or have a very defined use case. If your use case is more abstract and changes rapidly, it may be difficult to support the required changes to your business model. Everyware Cloud is really good at the things it does well, but is not great at adapting.
