A great MFP monitoring and management platform

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

There is a need to monitor customer usage for multifunction devices for billing purposes. A manual process is very labor intensive and has the risk of human error. Printanista addresses that need by automating the process at reliable, fixed intervals. Data is then imported to another system so proper billing can be applied.

  • Regular, consistent reporting of MFP data
  • Easy to manage software with user-friendly interface.
  • Vendor support is available and timely in their responses.

Cons

  • Tweak the search bar to return results on another screen rather than a dynamic dropdown list
  • Provide links within the local application for server and client software update release notes.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Printix and Printerlogic are the some of the favorites we used in the past to monitor customers and make sure that their levels are always in line where they need to be. We mainly use the software to manage printers for customers remotely. We are one of the largest wholesalers for Printers and also lease them out, so Printanista is a good choice to monitor those printer for typical issues customers have remotely.

  • The software can become corrupted and need to be installed again.
  • There is a learning curve when teaching new employees how to deploy and monitor levels.

Pros

  • completely unreliable, alerts don't come in, no notifications for stale data
  • most of the time the RUI fails
  • Does not successfully alert for Photoconductor/MK kits
