We used Druva as our primary backup solution for our endpoints. The service we used prior was sold to another company, and we were told it was no longer going to be supported. We needed to find a replacement solution that we could implement quickly, and Druva was that solution.

I feel that Druva is best in our environment for allowing our end users to manage and restore their own data instead of having to submit IT tickets every time they need support. Having a small IT team, we like to empower our users to support themselves when it is not a security risk, and Druva allows us to do this.
So we made the decision years ago that Tape just was not cutting it any longer and started looking into Cloud SaaS applications to protect our data and also give us a disaster recovery platform to work off of as well. We found Druva Data Resiliency Cloud and started to dive in on questions and weighing this service's features and what we were looking for. We decided to give this a shot and started using Druva Data Resiliency Cloud for all of our backups as our offsite backup solution. It checked all the boxes for us and was easy to use. We also created a disaster recovery plan based on moving our on prem servers to AWS and getting our applications up and running to continue business as usual. This worked well and was tested quarterly with success. Well back in 2021 we were hit with a ransomware attack that basically rendered all of our data and servers useless. So we began to recover our data within our disaster recovery plan and we were able to bring the company back up and online within 24hrs. All of our data was protected and able to be restored in whatever way we needed it to be restored. This product was a lifesaver for sure!

So this product was a complete fit when we first implemented it. But a couple years ago we started moving services to Azure and changing the way our software works. Druva Data Resiliency Cloud works very well for and AWS based platform and backups but has been lagging in keeping up with the ability to backup Azure resources. Specifically Azure Sql databases, app services, storage account containers. Once they catch up to be able to connect and restore to Azure the same way they can with AWS it would fit perfectly. Druva Data Resiliency Cloud is our main source for backups but we had to implement a Veeam instance to help with our Azure data.

We use Druva Data Resiliency Cloud (Druva Phoenix and inSync) for all of our server and end point backups. We use both File/SQL backups on our servers as well as full VM replications. We also have Druva Phoenix linked to our AWS account and have DRaaS setup in case of an on-site disaster. We also have all 450 of our company laptops backed up with inSync. Both products have worked really well for us over the past 8 years.

We initially contracted Druva for device backups. Once that was implemented and successful we moved to backup our cloud apps i.e M365 backups with Druva. We also did add ransomware features and additional storage with them.As of today we have created multiple instance of Druva to manage our multiple departments. This division helps us address billing concerns and budget issues well

As of today we haven't had any major ransomware attack or issues where Druva has stepped in to help us. However on the day to day basis we see that the backups are going on smoothly and whenever we have tried the restore that hasn't caused any issues either. In the Device backups we did realise that PSt files restore sometimes takes longer to restore. However we moved our emails to the Cloud app backups and that issue seems to be resolved

Druva product is easy to use. the CSM team has been very helpful in driving usage. It provides a single pane for all our backups. Great product. We have been using it for our laptop and mobile device backup purposes. It is being used across the whole organization. We use Druva for backup up Office 365 items such as email, OneDrive, etc. for all of our users. The problems Druva addresses are both accidental and intentional deletion of data from our users or departed staff. The scope of our use case is organization-wide, so all users are protected from data loss in their Office 365 account.

We had a situation where a departed user deleted data from their mailbox. We needed several items restored, and utilized Druva to both view, and restore items that were deleted. We engaged support for assistance and their help was prompt and clear. In addition, Druva's online help articles are clearly written and easily accessed to guide our technicians through tasks on their service.
Druva Data Resiliency Cloud is used by our company to backup and manages backup sets for our on-premises servers. Druva Data Resiliency Cloud provides peace of mind with air-gapped backups and ease of use. Added to the Drive's scaleability and makes it the all-around best package. We backup ~25TB of data currently.

We are also able to upgrade the Druva Data Resiliency Cloud client remotely to counter any active vulnerabilities that may target older versions of the Druva Data Resiliency Cloud clients.

Druva Data Resiliency Cloud is very useful when a company has many users spread out throughout the world. This is because it allows for back sites to be established in different regions. The endpoints data will then be backed up to specific back sites; taking this into account, the console allows the IT team to manage all sites remotely. I do not think Druva Data Resiliency Cloud is well suited for the average Joe because it isn't a solution you want to use as a standalone backup tool since it is pricey.

Druva backup is the perfect solution where we need not only a backup of server /endpoint data but also want to have one copy of offsite storage on the cloud. Being data backup on the cloud gives easy access and security in case of any DR requirements.

As we made the move from on-premise Exchange and other services to the cloud, we were looking for a product to be able to back up our data. In working with our data center partners, Druva was the one product that had not only the ability to back up our upcoming M365 environment but also other SaaS products such as SalesForce. The product backups up other products and services, but for the moment, this addressed our current needs where we did not currently have a solution in place.

The product is well developed for cloud-based products and services. We have not investigated or looked at expanding the current deployment into other areas. We still do not have a major cloud presence, and what we do have is minor. We may find other scenarios where the product can be used, but we are still in the process of working on our M365 user migration from our on-premise Exchange. Until that is complete, I doubt we will be looking at other features and functions unless another SaaS solution is deployed.
Cons
Making changes to the email that is sent to users will only change when you make a modification and send it to a user. There needs to be a way to change it ahead of making the change and sending it out.
When doing a POC, it seems even if you do not initially purchase it, the deployment stays in place. If you forget any login information, there is no way to recover this if no one remembers their password. Druva support has no "backdoor" to reset admin accounts, which is both good and bad.
