Dropbox is used to share files between team members and to external vendors. Dropbox's ability to sync files keep our shared files updated and it's great for when we collaborate as a team, as everyone can access the most updated version. Dropbox is also great to share files to vendors, especially bigger files that cannot be sent as an attachment.
Pros
Sync files to cloud
Help teams collaborate
Host big files for easy sharing
Integrate with Finder
Cons
Pricing
Having free licenses for teams
Allow multiple accounts as once
Likelihood to Recommend
Dropbox is great for smaller teams that want to work on a shared drive together. When files get updated, Dropbox automatically syncs which keep everything updated. If a team only has one member, Dropbox is less useful if that person can just keep all their files on a hard drive.
Dropbox is my primary source for all critical information, allowing it to be accessed from various workstations. The price per GB is better than Google Drive, which is why Dropbox has replaced Google Drive as our primary source of information.
Pros
Easy workstation access.
Easy mobile access.
Easy backup capabilities.
Cons
Previewing files is not seamless.
Can't download from dropbox to some applications.
Moving files is cumbersome.
Likelihood to Recommend
DB is great for storage and access from different laptops and mobile phones. DB is not great for photo access for editing or reviewing images.

Pros

Easy to use
Cons
Online
Color coordinating files
A modern, more intuitive UI with customizable navigation would make the tool feel fresher.

Manager in Professional Services (Medical Device company, 11-50 employees)
I use Dropbox for school and work. I have used Dropbox to save all my important files. If it weren't for the service, I would have lost all of my files (which are duplicated on my main PC) in a house fire. I am grateful for the Dropbox service, and I intend to stay a longtime customer for many years to come!
Pros
Cloud Storage.
Multi-Device connectivity and syncing.
Offline Changes (that save when your device connects!)

I use Dropbox as a repository for special event photos, so that attendees and their friends and families can relive the festivities. I also use it for personal file backups off of the company servers. Dropbox’s privacy settings allow for easy segregation of public and private content, allowing for a versatile solution for all of my file sharing and off-server backup needs.
Pros
Permissions setting
Content segregation
Mobile access
Cons
Mobile app can become slow
Sluggish performance on large files
Expanded file format options for in-browser previews

The only barrier is what could also rightly be considered a plus: Dropbox is not owned by or hosted by the same company that the customer may use other services of — which can mean insurance against hacks and system outages just as much as it could mean a loss of centralization.
Ability to share information in a secure way across functions internally and third party vendors. It is very easy to manage permissions and maintain an organized folder structure.
Pros
Vault Services - Keeping highly confidential materials extra secure
Ease of mobile app
Ability to customize homescreen
Cons
Pictures are not easy to load
Identifying duplicates easier
Creating dashboards
Likelihood to Recommend
Dropbox is well suited if you work with a lot of third party vendors that you need to share information with consistently or maintain a checklist of items. In M&A this works really well.
