I use it personally and for business. It’s pretty convenient to use and rarely has hiccups. Easy access to files, pretty quick, and pretty Good amount of customization options. From scanning new files, taking new photos, recording audio, editing files, sending files to others, and etc., Dropbox has many Good features.
Pros
Sending files to others.
Storing files.
Making new files.
Cons
Make Dropbox integration with iMessage more efficient. Instead of going to Dropbox and exporting a file to share, I want to send the file directly through the iMessage attachment options.
Lower the cost of storage.
Solve world problems.

Well-suited for storage of files with similar names. Saving options are very thorough in terms of storage GUI. Dropbox has pretty thorough ways to describe and set file/folder permissions. It also has selective sync options and many other options for me to customize my experience. It’s overall pretty well built.

Transferring files, both to our office and from our office. Maintaining database of thousands of files, accessible to all. Quickly share access to specific files for temporary or permanent users. Addresses the problems of "where is the data" or "what laptop do we open the file in" or "how safe is the data". DropBox solves all of that.
Pros
Send a link to quickly share specific files.
Be fast enough to open large files from the cloud.
Maintain servers of project-specific data, organizing and sharing
Cons
Previewing of images on an apple laptop
Sometimes access permissions are not clear, new user creating new login is not always clear.
Larger files (over 1gig) or complex filing systems do not transfer well by "drag and drop"

Its the industry standard, everyone is familiar with it and it works across platforms
At CVL Engineers we rely on Dropbox as our firm-wide “single source of truth” for every drawing set, proposal, inspection photo, and marketing asset that moves through the company. Before adopting it we wrestled with lost time hunting for the latest file on network drives, email attachments that blew up inbox quotas, and an Edmonton–Calgary–Toronto–Vancouver workforce that couldn’t reliably reach the same server. Dropbox removes those pain points by giving each discipline a structured, permission-controlled project folder and automatic version history, so a structural engineer in Calgary and a marketing coordinator in Edmonton can co-edit a 200 MB Revit model or an InDesign proposal without overwriting each other’s work. Because sync is cloud-first, field staff can upload site photos from a tablet the moment they leave a job, and our proposal team can drop those images straight into a bid package minutes later. Add-ons like Dropbox Paper (for task checklists) and Dropbox Sign (for executing sub-consultant NDAs) further collapse our workflow. In short, the platform tackles version-control chaos, large-file transfer headaches, and cross-office collaboration, while keeping client data encrypted and audit-ready—freeing us to focus on “building cool sh*t,” not chasing files.
Pros
its quick, if my coworker saves a file I can almost see it instantly
Never ran into transfer issues, it's quick
Saves multiple versions of the same file which has saved my ass multiple times
Cons
allow files to be edited by multiple people at the same time without creating conflicting copies

We are in the construction industry and use Dropbox to submit large documents (plans and specs) to subcontractors and vendors. Without Dropbox, we would have to submit multiple separate emails, due to the large size of documents we handle, and this would be too time consuming considering the number of projects we manage.
Pros
Ease to use - user friendly
Creates links that allow us to submit them on any email service provider (Outlook, Gmail, Hotmail, etc.).
Easy to access
Cons
Allow for easier viewing of what has been submitted and to who
Likelihood to Recommend
It is well suited for the sharing of documents, especially large size documents that take up high number or Megabytes. It is less appropriate to keep track of who is receiving and opening the files once submitted.
We use Dropbox to be able to easily access all of our files that we all use as well as organize our photos and be able to easily access them for different projects. It also helps us keep our work organized and saved for the many projects that we do.
Pros
Organization
User Friendly
Likelihood to Recommend
It is great for when we need to access files across multiple devices and users. It is great for us to be able to keep files organized and maintained. It is very user friendly as well which really helps different skill levels. Price point might be the only concern for some users.

I have used Dropbox for 15-20 years. I would recommend and give it a 10 to anyone that would listen. I loved it. In early 2023 I could no longer attach anything from my Dropbox files to my GMail. It had worked flawlessly since day one. I found a work around that took extra time and caused some heartburn. I turned in multiple repair orders (Ticket #22613149) for over a year, only to be told "we're working on it" and then "Your issue has been resolved" NOT! . A year later it mysteriously started working again. My recommendation has dropped to a 5. I requested a refund and never heard anything. I am still using it but not nearly as complimentary.
Backing up and Sharing files within our office. Accessing files from mobile devices. Allows collaboration on many projects and allows easy sharing of large files.
Pros

File Sharing
Collaboration
Cons
Keeping older versions of files so that changes can be tracked.
Keeping older versions of files so that mistakes can be reversed.

It just works- we have used it for 16-17 years and it has never failed to back up or allow sharing.

I have been using Dropbox for a number of years now for a multitude of purposes. I personally own and renovate houses and rental properties, as well as co-own an auto parts business, salvage yard, and car dealership. Having the ability to share large files with clients, tenants, and customers is not only valuable but also convenient. We pay for subscription to keep archived files for future reference and tax purposes. Our favorite feature is that the files sync on all of our logged-in devices in real-time so that everyone can stay updated.
Pros
File sharing: It's easy to send links instead of attaching files.
Ease of use: works just like desktop folders.
Adaptability: Mobile devices and Desktop PCs transition easily.
Cons
Capture: i snot supported on desktop and the files can never be moved.
Screen recording: should be supported with subscription.
Search: Windows 11 won't allow us to search in files - only file names.
Auto sort: Should be able to set parameters such as 'all videos move to specific folder'.

Auto uploading to save photos remotely is the best concept I've used teaching in classrooms as well as while on trips. I routinely utilize this feature as well to share receipts or invoices with employees and customers. It would be nice if I could manipulate the mobile interface a little more.
we use Dropbox to put in all our bids, receipts ect. and share across the board. This keeps all of our stuff very organized. our team loves doing drop box and it never fails. we are grateful for the easy accessibility. Dropbox has improved our workflow tremendously
