DocuSign makes home building easy

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

DocuSign is used to capture signatures on our very custom and unique home building client contracts. There are many documents that make up a home building contract so DocuSign simplifies this process. It is also used throughout the home building process to capture sign-off on changes (also known as variations) to the building design by the client.

Pros

  • Managing many page documents
  • Capturing client signatures
  • Transaction tracking and alerts

Cons

  • Better auto detect of signature without needing to use Tags.

Return on Investment

  • Client signing turnaround is fast
  • Less mistakes with changes as these are captured faster
  • Overall all these speed up build time which for us means more income.

in my opinion, horrible support

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I have attempted to cancel my subscription since October, as their upgrades and downgrades of plans seems simple, then you realize you never downgraded or cancelled. In my opinion, getting support worth a crap is impossible. In my experience, they continued to close out tickets on me when they were not complete making me start from the beginning again. My annual plan still renewed even though I did not want it too. Their refund policy states within 30 days of an annual subscription, yet, in my experience, they still refuse to refund or give me anyway of contacting them on the phone. I have had countless support tickets, following instructions and somehow it does no good for me.

Cons

  • in my opinion, horrible support
  • in my experience, miss guiding emails
  • in my experience, phone support is nearly none existent
  • in my experience, will not back refund policy they created

Return on Investment

  • cost
  • support issues
  • wasting my time

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use it to sign documents electronically. It helps us to ensure that it is secure, both parties get signed copies once complete and reduces the amount of paper that we need to use. Which in turn reduces our printing costs as well. We found this helped to streamline processes and get work done faster.

Pros

  • Ability to sign documents securely wherever you are.
  • Easily marks where signatures need to be so nothing is missed.
  • Easy for anyone to use.

Cons

  • The cost can be high.
  • Ease of use without needing to have the app downloaded.
  • Easier ways to build packages out or get documents uploaded to DocuSign.

Return on Investment

  • Reduces printing costs
  • Reduces back and forth to get missing signatures
  • Improves our end user experience as they don’t have to print, sign and scan back documents
