Use Cases and Deployment Scope

collaborate on Infinite Canvas with a wide variety of file types and data sources at high performance. There are loading times for SharePoint files, if this is exceeded, DEON aborts and you have to manually update with a click on each file to see that other providers actively promote their communities and have loads of free-to-use templates. I didn't have much luck finding one for DEON.No standard template available yet.

Pros

  • drag and drop documents, spreadsheets, drawings, screenshots, web applications, videos, images, live sources ETC.
  • Its intuitive front-end lets you improvise, when you are not sure how to do it.

Cons

  • O Usage of a different logic of navigating compared to MS Office products. For me it's possible to switch, but for customers, who are not using DEON so often, it's difficult.
  • Deon don´t support file with Macros

Likelihood to Recommend

Content Management, Discussion Boards, Document Management, Project Management, Real-Time Editing, Task Management, and Version Control in one place. I can look into all documents as if I had them right in front of me. Easy to learn Easy use even for "non-digital-natives" o Integration of MS Office files in Deon-Space, don't know another tool and use, also for users with not much experience.

Used for collaborative workshops involving presentations and breakout sessions.

Pros

  • Ability to switch easily between different "rooms" during breakout sessions.
  • Template sharing.
  • Embedded links to ensure most up to date files are being viewed.

Cons

  • Can be a learning curve compared to using traditional MS programs in their typical format.
  • Not available in full form for Mac users.
  • Currently doesn't support files with Macros, so those have to be altered before using them in DEON.

Likelihood to Recommend

Great for workshops with breakout sessions. Not so great if you need to thoroughly examine data, especially if data files contain complexities like Macros.

I play several roles in my company that include Marketing, Sales, Training etc. I need different documents handy for each of these roles.

I use Deon to organize all my documents at one place together.

<u>For Example:</u> When I am taking Sales Calls, I have my presentations, portfolio, rate cards, other necessary information in one place in one project of Deon. All the documents, presentations etc that I need during a sales call are available in one place.

Similarly when I am doing my training or any Marketing activity all documents are kept in one place. Deon helps me keep all my files organized and accessible in one place.

Pros

  • Helps manage all files in one place.
  • Very Good visual representation of needed files.
  • Easy to use interface and easy to learn
  • Lets you do a lot of customization in terms of data representation

Cons

  • More tutorials need to be available.
  • Since it is a totally new way of organizing data, there should be some sample examples of how data is organized.
  • Some options in choosing background colors should have been given.
  • Should have given the option to edit some documents in the panel itself. e.g: Notepad, word.

Likelihood to Recommend

Best Suited Scenario: When you play multiple roles and a certain set of information/ files in one place in an organized fashion.

Example 1: You are into sales and need specific documents at during a presentation to your client, this is when DEON comes in handy. You can have all your files arranged in one place.

Example 2: You are doing a review where lots of presentations and files are needed to be shown this is where you can use DEON.

I don't see any scenario where DEON would not be suitable.

Instead of CISCO Jabber our company started installing this application and it is very user-friendly. Unlike screen sharing, DEON users can independently direct and work in different areas of the same office. Multiple users are able to collaborate together in real-time inside the same office place. Users can drag and drop any content.

  • They should provide training or webinar for introduction of application.

I don't have to screen share anyone. Other users can collaborate with my user. It is pretty intuitive software to use. We already had a nice experience of a workshop with probably 6 net active hours. It is an expensive tool than any other tool on the market. They need to think about that.

We have very complex agile SAP Implementation project management work involving around 200 -300 consultants per project within a span of 6 months. In such a scenario, one of the most challenging tasks is to keep a track record of authenticated work completion across the various levels of hierarchies of consultant levels and involves horizontal/ vertical integration of very short-term service by a 'Specialist consultant'. DEON provides superb multi-collaboration, cross integration, and file-sharing capabilities which we utilize in order to organize/ link scrum-wise along with linkage to other eco-systems such as events, requirements, risk, and decision points. This helps to build a complex micro-level environment. The Digital dashboard provides a complete overview to CTM of the client w.r.t complex work road ahead.
