Crucial to our post-COVID strategy; confidence-inspiring.

Rating: 10 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

The main issue we are trying to address with any laboratory software is that the laboratory needs a single solution for many of its needs, all in one platform. Rather than a patchwork of various solutions cobbled together, it is much easier for us to focus our efforts on working with one partner. That partner has become Dendi for us. Why? It's simple: it's all about accountability within the organization. As a fast-growing "startup", it has been easy to work with them to implement changes and react to market conditions knowing that we can call up the team and talk to company leadership within minutes. The way the team operates gives me full confidence that our needs will be met, and done so quickly. This level of attention to detail is uncommon and goes far beyond most vendor-customer relationships, which is why I call our relationship a partnership instead.

Pros

  • Customer experience.
  • Patient portal and results delivery.
  • Full-fledged offering.
  • Configurability.

Cons

  • Resistant to bespoke workflows.
  • Functionalities are more "broad" than "deep".

Likelihood to Recommend

- Patient portal allows us to send results directly to the patient, which is a must-have for laboratories going forward. - Support is very responsive and helpful. You will always hear back from them in a timely fashion, often with a solution in hand. - Very configurable. The system is well-designed, and most changes that need to be made can be done by the end-user. - Product lifecycle is quick. We can request a complex feature update and have it be turned around in a matter of weeks.

Total solution for patient-centered diagnostic workflows

Rating: 10 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Dendi LIS provides out-of-the box integrations with various instruments and vendors. Their ability to integrate with just about anyone puts them miles ahead of the competition. Nowadays, there is a lot of pressure for various business functions to be connected, and the onus is often on internal teams to make that happen. Instead of building out these connections in-house, it often makes more sense to partner with innovative companies like Dendi to bring these business objectives to reality. As such, Dendi LIS is a "full-fledged solution" that spans the entire vertical as a provider. The benefit of having a one-stop shop is pretty clear from the management end in that there is often very little overhead to getting anything done, and their team is quite competent even when curveballs are thrown at them. As a smaller company, it is also much easier to get in contact with support and even company leadership if something is needed. I highly recommend working with these guys, as I believe they represent a changing of the old guard of diagnostic software.

Pros

  • Interfaces & connectivity
  • Subject-matter expertise in clinical diagnostics industry
  • Direct-to-consumer strategies
  • User experience (UX)
  • Communication & support

Cons

  • Better auto-verification support
  • APIs are great but still needs work
  • Training for end users

Likelihood to Recommend

Well-suited in scenarios where the organization needs to be forward thinking and an end-to-end solution is required. Our needs have spanned the entire vertical, from instrument management to CRM integration. Less appropriate for organizations purely focused in the biotech or R&D sector - this is clinical software (LIS vs LIMS).

Great solution!

Rating: 10 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We have worked with Dendi for quite a while now to implement interfaces and integrations for different healthcare providers in the med lab space. We are using their solution to help people create orders, deliver results, and run the lab in general. They also provide a native FHIR-compliant API that allows other vendors or teams to build on top of the Dendi platform.

Pros

  • Easy to use
  • Great support
  • API
  • Software development

Cons

  • No anatomic pathology functionality
  • Could improve functionality for microbiology

Likelihood to Recommend

Clinical labs subject to CLIA/CAP would benefit from using Dendi LIS. The solution is easy to use and set up, and they really make it easy for you to configure it for your lab. The engineers are not afraid to get their hands dirty.

Operational excellence

Test your patients, not your patience

Rating: 10 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Dendi LIS as a laboratory information system (LIS) partner. When setting up new labs, it is vital that they have software that allows them to automate, scale, and manage all of the workflows and processes.

We have found that Dendi LIS is one of the best software providers in the industry and has a very robust suite of integrations that makes it easy for our labs to grow. Not only that, but they are also able to provide guidance on navigating CLIA, CAP, and HIPAA regulations.

Pros

  • Product development
  • Customer service
  • Integrations
  • Instrument automation
  • Analytics
  • Revenue intelligence

Cons

  • Not everything is customizable--Dendi LIS has opinions on how to use their system
  • Not the cheapest solution; you get what you pay for though
  • Newer product, so product can be made more mature

Likelihood to Recommend

Dendi LIS would be a great software partner for healthcare-centric, clinical labs that are growing quickly and need operational assistance. They are good at providing value down the entire healthcare vertical.

Dendi LIS would not be a great fit for R&D-oriented organizations or in environments where CLIA/HIPAA are not important.
