Ceridian Dayforce is used to manage all employees information in one module. It's used to manage time worked and allows our company to keep track of vacation, sick, etc time used. Employees are able to access their information which saves management time and allows the employee to keep track of their own vacation time available to them.
Pros
Its efficient and effective
time clock connected with program on line
all information in one module
Cons
be able to use with all windows explorers

Ceridian Dayforce tracks employees time and attendance which makes it easier for management to review an accurate attendance information. The data collected is used to monitor attendance, edit any problems. This helps when it is time to authorize timesheets at the end of payroll saving time to focus on other areas that need management attention.
Our Dayforce is being used across the whole organization. The business problem it addresses is it tracks time and balances especially for banked hours, vacation hours, and sick hours that each employee accrues over time. What we also enjoy about it is the requests for time off are seamless, and now we are able to go paperless, which is great.
Pros
Tracking banked time
Seamless time off requests
Employee information tracking
Cons
Ability to add more customized info on employees/upload documents.
Ability to email time off requests to managers, so they get an alert.
Ability to email any comments made on time entries to managers.

I think Dayforce is good; it does what it needs to but there is always room for some improvement. For example, we would love it if there were more options to customize employee's information, whether its uploading PDFs with employee information or even having more custom fields, for example, if someone has allergies or not, etc.

Ceridian Dayforce is being used to manage the time of our employees and to pay them. We run a six-week summer program for children with special needs and Dayforce enables us to track staff attendance so that we can accurately pay our employees in a straightforward manner. Employees now get paid for when they start work - not for when they are supposed to start work. This has addressed the issue of staff arriving late or leaving early and being paid for that time. As a not-for-profit, we rely on public donations and this program allows us to do our part by being fiscally responsible with those donated dollars.
Pros
Sets up rules so that employees can punch in early but not be paid until their shift start time.
Automatically calculates holiday pay.
Streamlines the payroll process and has reduced time spent on payroll by 50%.
Cons
The program is complicated and it is not easy to create your own reports.
There are many rules around how to make a change and if they aren't done in exactly the right order the change won't be made.
The program is slow to implement changes - new employees or changes from terminated to re-hired.

We run a six-week program, and I think many of the issues I have come from that fact - I only use this program for 4 payroll runs per year, so I forget many of the rules and things that need to happen. If this were something used by a payroll professional on a regular basis the rules would become more automatic and probably the issues I face would not be faced by a full time, year-round user.
It is being used for our entire companies payroll. It replaced an archaic system where we were tracking time with physical punch sheets. It allows us to have an accurate punch in time and ensures the correct employee is punching in via fingerprint scanning. It has been a smooth implementation.
Pros
The app is very intuitive for employees to see their schedule.
Integration with time clock scanner is very smooth.
Easy for the manager to adjust time as needed.
Cons
When employees ask for days off, give the option for an unpaid day off (otherwise manager has to go in and delete unwanted vacation hours).
Shift rotation set up for scheduling is not super intuitive.
Use another program then Silverlight so Chrome compatibility is enabled.
Likelihood to Recommend
Very well suited for large companies where managers are overseeing multiple employees. In our specific scenario, we have a small staff and we could most likely get away without all the online features of requesting shifts off, etc. Just due to the fact that I am in contact with all the staff on a daily basis.
We currently use Ceridian for our payroll processing.
Pros
Collecting the data on the portal
History of pay, demographics, etc.
Multiple tables are easy to maintain and update
Cons
Reports: a report feature will remain like the last time you ran the report, this could be good but also bad.
I print a monthly report based on active employees but would need to select all employees so that I get accurate information for the month I am pulling data for. This is very time-consuming because I have to look through all EEs to get information.
Some window tabs seem they could be combined.
The customer service line is horrible. Many times I call and get one answer then I call back because I have another question then I get a completely different answer. on other occasions I am having to email several times on an issue before I get a response. And other times I work with Ceridian support to solve an issue. They say it is resolved and then it pops back up again, and again, and again., where now I am just manually correcting the issue every pay period bc I never can get Ceridian to resolve the issue.
Likelihood to Recommend
I would have some reservations, one thing for sure is getting the support when sending an email. Several times I have had to reach out several times to get a response or call from support.

Ceridian Dayforce is used across our entire organization as the primary system of records for HR, Payroll, and Benefits. It allows us to provide a one system experience for the 9,000 employees who we support.
At a prior employer, I also used Dayforce for document management, recruiting, and performance management and we made it fit our business needs.
Pros
Being a single point for employees to access.
Weekly hotfixes and semi-annual upgrades.
Leader in the industry for WFM.
Cons
Often hotfixes and upgrades cause issues.
Extremely customizable, need to have the headcount to keep the system under control.
Still growing and implementing international features.
Likelihood to Recommend
Processing payroll, interface files, and using their support team have all been great experiences.
As with any system, the implementation is crucial. If processes are not scoped properly during implementation, it will come back later as an issue within the system. At my prior company, the benefits manager who completed the implementation missed key processes, so we were always having benefit issues. At my current company, benefits are one of the smoothest running processes.
Just be extremely careful during implementation, and if you are thorough things will work great!

We use Dayforce for payroll, time and attendance, HR and benefits. It is being used across our entire organization. Dayforce allows us to manage key information affecting payroll (time and benefits mainly) within the same application that processes payroll, which is more efficient for us than legacy providers.
Pros
Integrated HR and Payroll solution - everything about an employee that impacts their pay check can be maintained in one place, and payroll calculates correctly based on their record.
Manage workforce in one place - the software has the ability to track any HR information that is needed, along with time, benefits, pay, etc. for each employee.
Payroll processing - as a one-stop solution, the payroll process is simplified and is simply the output of data from the HR record and timesheet.
Cons
It can be difficult to tailor settings to our exact company policies and needs - e.g. programming specific facets of vacation policy, attendance policy.
Support is responsive, but sometimes lacks expertise or understanding of our structure (particularly because every Dayforce implementation is customized).
Security by roles - assigning roles to users determines what data they have access to, but there is not a good way to allow one user different levels of access to different groups of employees.
Likelihood to Recommend
Dayforce is well-suited for entities where the HR and payroll functions are intertwined, entities that aim to go paperless, and entities with some complexity in their payroll process. Multinational entities may want to evaluate if Dayforce is the right product for them, as well as highly complex entities.
