Dayforce is new for Slickdeals, but the goal is to have it serve as the source of truth and be the cross functional link to help make everyone work better, smarter and faster. This is helping us control spending and cut down on the number of vendors we use.
Pros
Compliance
Multi-state taxation
Streamlining workflows and insights via analytics
Cons
Customer service especially with the off-shore implementation teams. We still have far to many hiccups from things not addressed during implementation.
Costs are not clear for small clients, too many additional fees for what is standard with other providers.
Likelihood to Recommend
The consistency of the compliance area of Dayforce has increased over the years and continues to outpace even the large service providers. Saving companies from huge fines and legal fees is another reason I would choose Dayforce even if it's for less than 100 employees

We use all components of Dayforce to address Talent, WFM, Recruiting, Payroll, Benefits, and training.
Pros
WFM - time and attendance tracking is easy for admin and managers. There are only a few key steps and I am happy to hear that Dayforce is continually improving.
Payroll - we are a managed client so payroll processing is smooth and helpful.
Benefits - we are also managed with benefits so we get a lot of support for both admin and end-user
Cons
Technical glitches continue to ail us. Release schedules are not regular and don't always seem planned.
The ATS portion is clunky and regularly has major technical issues.
Likelihood to Recommend
Overall I see a much easier approach to day-to-day HR activities such as scheduling, hiring, and self service. Self-service is a major component that is used at my org.
We use DayForce for HR, Payroll, Benefits and Talent Acquistion. We are a property management firm with over 3000 employees and this allows us to have an integrated system which flows onto the other modules without having to enter everything manually. We can have employees being hired and flow into the timecards for each site so the managers can see them and see their employee profiles.
Pros
Flow benefits to payroll elections
Flow new hires to site managers
Flow changes to payroll
Cons
The ability to see more than one week in timesheets
Be easier to integrate mass changes
Have better functionality in most modules. Unable to modify without assistance
Too many upgrades which affect other areas not anticipated
Likelihood to Recommend
I believe DayForce is well suited for smaller companies maybe located all in one state. The reciprocity doesn't really work well and historical adjustments particularly in the work assignment area do not work well. The larger we get the more problems we have started encountering. Also with the change of policy it may become too expensive to maintain particularly with the terminated employee fee which is one of the reasons we chose Dayforce over others.

We use Dayforce from everything from Onboarding through the entire employee lifecycle, payroll, reporting etc. Dayforce makes it easy to maintain accurate employee
information. It also provides easy
avenues of two-way communication between the company and its employees. It gives the employee a one stop shop for all their needs including pay, pto, and a place to find policies and procedures.
Pros
Employee maintenance
Payroll
Reporting
Cons
Safety Measures/Reporting
Likelihood to Recommend
Overall Dayforce is a user-friendly system and helps
maintain accurate and up to date information. The accuracy of the records helps give accurate reporting on t=our business needs. There is still some functionality that it is missing, though
they are constantly working to improve in those areas and have good open communication and helps channels.

We wanted to upgrade from a very outdated HRIS to a robust HCM. We have five separate companies within our one Dayforce platform and Dayforce made it much easier and fast to process payroll, introduced self service to our employees, and enabled the many HR team members across each company a much better platform for employee management.
Pros
Dayforce customer service is great. Almost always super quick to respond to support cases.
The platform is fairly customizable.
Dayforce integrates very well with a variety of outside sources.
Cons
Dayforce Recruiting could use some improvement because many settings are global which create issues for anyone who has more than one legal entity/company under one namespace.
Likelihood to Recommend
Dayforce is different from any other HCM/HRIS that I have used in which it is location based verses supervisory based. This took some getting used to. There are many areas across the platform that are customizable, Forms, for example, are really nice to be able to customize to meet our needs.

Dayforce is our Payroll and HR platform. We use it for payroll processing, recruiting, employment records, and performance management. Dayforce is used daily at our company.
Pros
Employment Compensation Management
Reporting
Payroll Management
Cons
Compensation module
Updated Hub Experience
Creating new reports
Likelihood to Recommend
I think Dayforce is a great platform for companies. When changes need to be made to the system, customer service is a little lacking. Changes aren't always timely and can be very expensive.
We use Dayforce in two countries: recruiting, WFM, and payroll. The releases that come out twice a year keep improving our Dayforce software. We are running payrolls in two different cycles, and I can give payroll information to Finance anytime. The Dayforce Wallet feature has genuinely changed our WFM practice. Our employees ensure all punches are completed because they want to use the Dayforce Wallet feature. I truly enjoy having all the information in one system, from your employee database to year-end information.
Pros
Payroll - it shows everything in real time and it runs quickly.
People - Having all employee details from the offer letter to W2 information in the same spot.
Dayforce Wallet: The on-demand feature is fully integrated with Timesheets and Payroll. What shows in one will be in the other.
Cons
Auditing in Garnishments, having no audit on this screen, is terrible. You could delete something by mistake and not know about it.
Reporting - we need more fields for Dayforce Wallet/on-demand to ensure we can run our KPIs.
Retro corrections for Payroll elections. When someone backdates a Medical deduction, Dayforce should take the date and apply any necessary retro calculations.
Likelihood to Recommend
Well Suited - I would say for payroll. If you set up all your information, the data flows over perfectly. The calculation takes minutes instead of hours. Improvements - Reporting and Taxes- Reporting needs an overhaul in regard to V1 to V2. If a topic is outdated, then you need to upgrade that area. Taxes - needs to be improved. The tax engine is a different system that will feed to Dayforce. The problem is feeds can break or get an error that can cause a significant problem.
Ceridian Dayforce is used for many of its applications, at our company. I personally use Ceridian Dayforce to generate and process payroll. We also use the onboarding, recruiting, time management systems and are currently in the process of implementing other modules such as compensation.
Pros
provides a platform that has easy to use navigation.
provides additional services and information to stay up to date on relevant and impactful information.
has an internal system of checks and balances to make sure data in all parts of the system is accurate.
Cons
accessibility to instant support. Not every question should require a case to be logged. There should be a chat feature built right into different areas of the system where if I am in payroll, for example, and don't understand how to resolve an error, I can send a message to get instant clarity/support/help.
edit capabilities and better format options on the fixed format reports. We should be able to have an option to convert a fixed report into a customizable report and have more than just PDF as a format option on most of the payroll reports.
Likelihood to Recommend
For a system to allow for more independence and management, Ceridian Dayforce is it. Once you know the ins and outs of the system and where to perform certain actions and how to edit the ability of certain functions, you realize that you have a system that will serve to meet just about every need.
