Cronycle is the Research Tool My Team and I Needed.

Rating: 10 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Cronycle is used as a content research tool that drives the way we create articles on behalf of our brands. We're also exploring how it can be an employee advocacy tool.

Pros

  • Aggregates content
  • Provides relevant thought leaders in multiple industries
  • Provides relevant social analysis

Cons

  • The newsletter
  • The boards
  • Organizing annotations

Likelihood to Recommend

Cronycle has cut research down for my team and me from days to hours depending on the topic. That alone was worth the decision to use the tool. While it is not intended to be employee advocacy or sales enablement tool, there's a big opportunity for this. I hope the newsletter section will get stronger for this.

great for group collaboration and individual use, to keep track of the online information average. It is great for researchers, exploring new domains or gathering topics from online resources, keeping it together with their own pieces of content.

Cronycle is a great tool for finding and organising key news, updates and preparing for publication.

Rating: 8 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

There are two main problems one the company supports very different businesses and needs to stay up to date. For example the Automotive Industry across several areas, soft fruit farming, and the use of AI in chatbot space. The second is the company needs to be making regular and relevant LinkedIn posts. A secondary minor problem is the number of newsletters and email updates that come into the inbox. Cronycle helps manage the variety of different inputs and with the search, the algorithm brings forward relevant news inconvenient easily accessible, and navigatable groupings.

Pros

  • Managing the feeds of information - keeping it away from my inbox
  • The feed filtering in such a way nothing big is missed and easy to browse
  • The boards work well both as a historical record of key news for the sector and prep for publishing

Cons

  • It would be great if there was a way to schedule article publishing directly to LinkedIN
  • Convenient if the Cronycle email for Newsletters was easier to access, take several clicks today

Likelihood to Recommend

For those needing to stay up to date across or very active sectors, it is an attractive, convenient most importantly efficient way to receive and filter for relevance.

It is very time efficient and saves a lot of energy that goes into findings of different topics.

Rating: 10 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use Cronycle in my organization for content marketing and marketing intelligence. It contains an ample amount of content under one roof that makes the job of the people working under me much easier. It helps in specifically pouring out the contents in a very short span of time that requires hours of research switching from one website to the other.

Pros

  • Eliminate blindspots
  • Complete focus on the topic
  • Provides necessary information

Cons

  • More aesthetic filters can be implemented

Likelihood to Recommend

Cronycle is best suited into agencies that keep working tirelessly around various fields and different types of clients at one go. It becomes very efficient in managing the time into an organization that looks to switch game in matter of days. Well I'm not too sure if it is of same help into the big MNC's that tend to follow the same job type and designation for individuals.

Cronycle enables learning about issues the moment the first rumours emerge on the internet

Rating: 10 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Cronycle allows us to periodically check the market for signs of issues that may harm our products.

Pros

  • It allows filtering of information on key words.
  • Information is retrieved from multiple sources.
  • Because Cronycle gets input from different sources, true positives typically separate itself from others by being mentioned by multiple sources - it's buzzing.

Cons

  • For some reason logging on for a few months does not go as easy as usual, because nowadays I need a least two attempts to log in.
  • I think I do only use the core functionality of Cronycle: getting indication info by keywords via multiple sites.
  • Vice versa: if people come to me with a suspected issue, I double-check via Cronycle by entering that issue as search in found results. A low occurrence often indicates the suspected issue likely is not so severe.

Likelihood to Recommend

I already do promote it as the tool that allows us to respond more quickly to issues than when not using Cronycle. So typically before suppliers or users tell us there is an issue, we knew already about them. Because Cronycle filtered them from the internet at the moment they emerge.

Fantastic collaborative tool for researchers!

Rating: 10 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Cronycle has provided the research team (of around 30 members) that I oversee with the ability to

effectively collaborate as a collective and has enabled us to work much more

efficiently. The platform has given us the tools to improve our information

gathering and sharing and has empowered our team members with increased

awareness and insight into their colleagues’ sources of information and areas

of research interest. Researchers, based in India, can check their feeds each morning by pinning articles to boards (this

enables everyone to share and store information much more easily and more

quickly). Tagging and commenting on articles provide effective ways to convey

important details about pieces of news to any other member of the team without

the need to maintain separate systems, or to get bogged down using other

methods of communicating (such as email). This is particularly helpful as for

at least half of the working day our teams in the UK and India would not

overlap in-office hours. Being able to sort or filter both feeds and articles

pinned to Boards by a number of different criteria also helps our users to improve

the relevance of the content that they are looking at.

Pros

  • Fantastic options for filtering content stored on Boards.
  • The Clipper is one of the most useful tools I have ever come across and is vital to our workflow.
  • Extraction of content from Boards to multiple formats.

Cons

  • One small piece of missing functionality is being able to select specific boards to search across. Currently, it is one or all, but an option to select 5, or 10, or 150 would be ideal.

Likelihood to Recommend

Prior to adopting Cronycle, our research team had a variety of different ways in which they would discover, store

and share information. These methods were often inconsistent, with many smaller

teams or sub-groups of researchers operating independently of others. In many cases, content that was potentially useful to more than one

colleague was not being shared at all. We had thousands of different sources,

accessed through varying methods and stored in different locations/systems, and

very few colleagues would have had an idea of which sources other team members

were using. Furthermore, we became aware as a team that while between us we

were pulling in a lot of information, much of what was being discovered was not

necessarily being acted upon, or indeed being read by the colleague to whom it

was most relevant. We also needed to become more targeted, and indeed more

selective, in the information we were seeing, and Cronycle -specifically through the Sources Library, the Feeds, and the tagging and notification functionality - has enabled us to do

just this. There has been a genuinely transformative outcome to our information gathering ability, borne out by specific metrics, which Cronycle has also provided us with via the Enterprise account.

My Secret Superpower (until now ......)

Rating: 10 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

My goal is to help individuals and organizations THINK and BE more innovative in everything they do. For me, the key to landing new clients and keeping existing clients engaged and informed is to get and stay on top of the latest news, trends, changes, and key challenges in their industry. This is where Cronycle comes in. I have used it pretty much every single day since first discovering them back in 2014. Their topic discovery is phenomenal for research purposes and I use boards and tags to keep track of a huge volume of information [that] would otherwise have been completely overwhelming. My clients are always amazed at the insights I am able to share about the industry that they are in, particularly when it's not one I have had previous experience of!

Pros

  • Curating content found anywhere on the Internet is a breeze using the content clipper
  • Boards (think "Pinterest for Business" type of concept) is an absolute revelation compared to other products I looked into - adding annotations and the ability to collaborate with a team to comment on entries is fantastic
  • Customer support is highly responsive and suggestions for improvements/feature requests are not only welcomed but regularly followed through - the product just keeps on going from strength to strength!

Cons

  • I honestly can't think of a single thing right now - the product already exceeds all my expectations

Likelihood to Recommend

Before I pitch a new client, I research them and their industry eco-system in order to identify the primary issues they may be facing now or in the near future. Honing down on topics is quick and easy with Cronycle, which allows me to cut through the noise and come up with valuable insights to share when I first meet them. Over the long term, the body of information I curate in my Cronycle Boards becomes invaluable in identifying patterns, trends, and changes [that] feed into business strategy and form the basis of keynotes and board presentations.
