Business Problems Solved
Users rely on ConstructConnect's database to qualify and track building projects, allowing them to measure success in growing awareness in the bid/spec market through marketing programs. However, there have been reports of the cloud-based software system being unreliable, with some users uncertain if it will work upon sign-on. Inconvenience has also been expressed by users who have had to sign on twice in a row to gain access.
Despite these challenges, many users find value in utilizing the software for various purposes. For example, it is commonly used to identify engineering firms that specify their product as well as their competitors' products for potential outreach. Additionally, the software is utilized to present lunch and learns with the goal of expanding sales in the commercial marketplace.
Another key use case of ConstructConnect is its ability to provide insights into upcoming jobs available for bidding. Construction companies greatly benefit from this feature as they are able to find new or existing projects that align with their specific parameters and search for projects that require certain products. The software primarily caters to sales and estimating teams, although managers occasionally utilize it to scout for products of interest to add to their distribution list.
Furthermore, users leverage ConstructConnect's software to pull sales leads within industries where their company's products are used. These leads can then be distributed among representatives in different locations. However, it is worth mentioning that there have been some negative experiences expressed by users. Specifically, certain individuals have found the daily email with repetitive and unhelpful leads disappointing and feel that the service does not meet their expectations.
this program is not good I feel like they stole money from my company. when I signed up I was told I could cancel in 4 months and they sent me a year contract intially and I asked for the 4 month contract instead of sending the 4 month contract they changed it to an anual contract that you pay every four months but was a year. and to make it worse the salesmen was a complete dick about it when his people told me something diffrent and sent me a misleading contract. The contract doesnt even have my right name on it SMH. if your contacted by this company do your reasearch and take my advice and RUN.
I use the database to qualify and track building projects. In my experience, the cloud-based software system is completely unreliable; You never know whenever sign on if the system will even work. Why do I have to sign on twice, in a row, in order to gain access? I feel that's just the first of many problems and challenges trying to use ConstructConnect.
Cons
Not having to sign on twice to gain access to database
How about actually providing accurate information regarding the schedule
I feel that the reliability of their cloud based software stinks!

I believe ConstructConnect's customer service is non-existence. In my experience, the cloud based software system never seems to be functioning at 100% and is usually a problem, like today. I feel they do a poor job updating projects and providing accurate construction schedule information; Most of it is dates given a inaccurate.
We were looking at moving on from sub contracting.
I was under the impression that Construction connect was a hub of users and jobs. Its not. Its just a daily email with the same old useless leads every day.
This service is worth zero to me.
I feel as if I've been conned.
Cons
A comprehensive log of jobs in my area would be nice. We're located in Gainesville FL. There has been 10 jobs this month we're on because of our sub contracts. Not one of them made it on ConstructConnect. How many other jobs am I not seeing?

I've been on the site every day for two weeks. There has not been a single instance when a possible job was presented. There are just the same sad useless "leads" every day.
I used ConstructConnect Insight software in my business to access upcoming jobs that are available to bid for my construction company.
Pros
They have a relatively comprehensive list of jobs available. However these jobs are available on other platforms as well.
Cons
Customer service is definitely lacking. Trying to get clear answers from my rep was difficult.
My sales rep was not trustworthy to do what he said and was only concerned about their own bottom line. Instead of trying to cultivate a long term customer we were treated as just another number and another couple of zeros on their balance sheet.
Likelihood to Recommend
I would not do business with them in the future because of the poor treatment we have received, especially when there are other alternatives with better customer service and more ethical sales people.
I use this software in many different ways--finding new or existing projects that fit my companies parameters. I also use it to search for projects with specific products.
We mainly use it in sales/estimating. From time to time, managers use it to scout for products we may have interest in adding to our distribution list.
Pros
My favorite part of ConstructConnect is the ability to have detailed specifications that are up to date. We have used other software in the past that sadly could not keep even 50% of posted specifications up to date.
The tracking process is great! I have 5-6 personal lists and lists that are created for our team by the ConstructConnect team that tracks different projects for different teams we have.
The user-friendly way to search for thousands of projects, products, and companies.
Cons
I would like the option to download a certain subsection from a section of the specifications.
I think an archive of older projects that no longer have available documents would be great to have access to with the ability to restore all documents.
Likelihood to Recommend
I think ConstructConnect is a very valuable tool for any company that wants to find new building projects for their products.
The only time this would be less suitable is if you are not involved at any point in new, old, or just add-on construction.
It is used to pull sales leads within the industries our products are used in. These leads are distributed to representatives in various locations.
Pros
Great for large amounts of data.
Has great filters.
Cons
Too many false positives.
Slow speeds on occasion.

If you are going to be a power user of the service, I would recommend it more. The projects can lean a little heavily into the water treatment sector so I would highly recommend anyone in that sector use the service.
Track projects in which our products, and our competition, are specified to measure our success in growing awareness in the bid/spec market via our marketing programs, identify engineering firms specifying our product and our competitive products to call on to present lunch n learns. Ultimately growing our sales in the commercial marketplace. Currently, I am the only one using it, but present monthly reports on stats that indicate trends, also highlight special hits indicating usage or other remarkable findings.
Pros
I find it amazing how fast results come up when searching on a keyword
details, details, details.. again, marvelous.
filters work really well giving highly efficient results pointed at just what you want.
exporting to pdf with customizable flexibility, very useful giving all the details on a project or firm via attachments to emails.
Cons
I would like to see the Listing date for a project in the exported excel sheet
I don't know where to find it, but make available and easy to find and reference the search rules.. like using the AND, OR.. type of functions.
I don't like it that when you open up insight it defaults to an Updated Within level. I always have to remember to turn that off before I run my searches.

It is very well suited for finding projects where your product is specified, and I just use my company name. but, for other keywords, great.. and then it highlights where you are on the document that comes up. Also, it tells you how many times in the specific project documents it is found so you can find all of them.
Not sure, but we're not sure how legal, or ethical, it is for the database to show contact names, phone and email addresses. We don't believe those people appreciate unqualified inclusion in company databases for marketing communication.. ie e-newsletters, etc.
