We use Conga to generate automated documents directly from salesforce. It saves a lot of time because previously, we used to create manual documents by copying data from salesforce to word or pdf which was never perfect. Furthermore, they were not formatted properly because every team use their own format and slowed our responses. by using Conga, we can easily generate documents from salesforce directly using the data available and send them to clients. There are so many pre-made templates available to choose from and the growth of our company increased by using this simple automation.
Pros
It allows us to generate multiple documents at once using batch generation. This simple automation saves a lot of time for our team.
Its very user friendly. Even a newbie can simply generate document by clicking a button once this is setup by the admin.
Integrate Conga Sign with Conga Composer and it will automatically sent for e- signature once generated saving lot of time. we previously had to wait a lot for the signature.
Cons
No realtime review of what your document is gonna look like. Team has to generate a document first just to check how it looks which slows down template testing.
Pricing can be a issue for new business as your tier will increase if you need more users or generate a lot documents. I think flexible pricing options should be there.
If this app missed any field from salesforce while generating the document, errors are too confusing for a normal user and cannot be resolved without developers support.

If you have to create a lot of documents and your work involves sharing documents for the clients, this app is a must. Our team uses it for sales pricing and quotes. Legal team will also find it helpful while generating NDAs or contracts from the templates of their choice.
When you pair it with salesforce flow, it will automatically send the email once the document is generated
We use Conga Composer primarily to automate the creation of shipping documents, service agreements, and client onboarding packets. There are several other use cases, and Conga Composer is one of the best document generation and automation solution out there. Used by our accounting team as well.

Conga has a great interface and generates hundreds of documents at once, it's perfect for mass invoicing.
Proceed real-time data and has flexible output options.
Cons
There are tons of parameters to customize behavior, but they’re not always well-documented but does the job.
A more responsive mobile experience would be appreciated.

We use Conga to generate documents related to selling vehicles. When we sell a truck or trailer, we need a tool to generate documents for either processing the deal with the state or generating documents as part of the sales process (Spec sheets, for example). Document generation is a big part of our business.
Pros
It can generate a document.
Pull in images.
Some logic can be added if you have the time to figure it out yourself.
Cons
PAINFUL to use in salesforce.
Custom work required to make improvements.
Any updates or templates require too many steps.
Obvious that this was not designed with Salesforce in mind.

Document generation shouldn't be tricky for the user and admin/ person to maintain the documents. It's crazy how many steps are needed to make an update. Customer support was basically non-existent. I would not recommend this tool compared to other tools I have seen. The fact that I have to have a separate upload, which then pushes queries into the document, assuming everything is perfectly configured, of course, is not a pleasant experience.

We use Conga to create documents, create agreements, create labels, capture signatures, and capture payment information. We also use Conga to generate inventory reports. I believe we have a very complex use scenario for Conga and happily, it meets all our needs.
Pros
Customer onboarding agreements.
Payment method capture.
Complex tables.
Cons
Set up difficulty.
Custom link difficulty
Query difficulty.

It's more suited if your processes are well established and you don't change a lot. Once you get a document up and going it's good to go but it can take a long time to get there. Be careful if you have multiple record types.
