Coinbase is a well-known and trustworthy platform for all mainstream cryptocurrency activities and provides many benefits for those looking to start using blockchain technology, as well as for more advanced users looking to get into the premium features they offer. It's quite easy to get started with an address and get your account funded.

Cons

Support can be very bad.
Some promotions are bugged.
Doesn't support some smaller cryptocurrencies.

It's great for personal use, and will all the options available can be scaled up through most mid-size business use cases. Coinbase is a great platform to buy and sell crypto. Very user-friendly and intuitive.

Cons

In the assets allocation would be great to see how much was invested into a particular coin (what was the purchase price), and what is it trading for now. That would allow seeing at a glance whether certain crypto is gaining or losing your investment.

Coinbase is perfect for an easy method to buy and hold crypto. It is perhaps not the best option to hold large sums for long periods of time due to some ongoing security concerns. But buying and selling it is by far the easiest. Payments and transfers are also super easy, so they can be used as a transfer tool for your crypto.

I don't know that Coinbase addresseses any specific business-related problems, but it helps me keep track of, buy & sell, and research cryptocurrencies for investment. It has excellent teaching tools and is constantly adding new currencies to those they trade.

Cons

The fees can be somewhat higher than other services for none pro accounts.

It's good for a novice user to get into the market without having to have a huge amount of knowledge. Pros might find it a bit simplistic, fee-heavy, and dislike not having direct control of their crypto wallet.

Coinbase is being used for small, ad-hoc transactions of top cryptocurrencies. There is currently no major function that Coinbase provides for our organization.

Downtime of network is very volatile during high-traffic times

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Coinbase is not being used in our business operations, as it's more a consumer crypto-currency product than business product. Therefore, my experience with Coinbase is limited to my own personal experiences. It addresses and solves none of my business problems.

Pros

Great UI for managing crypto funds
Excellent mobile application for monitoring crypto values and sending/receiving crypto.
Good two-factor security practices to ensure bad actors are not illegitimately gaining access to your wallets and stealing your funds.

Cons

The fees coinbase charges on top of the crypto networks are relatively high, compared to the rest of the industry
Under load/high volume, the site and application become unresponsive
Customer support is lacking. It's hard to talk to a human and get a real response to your questions/concerns. This is particularly irritating since we're dealing with money.

Likelihood to Recommend

I think Coinbase is a great place to start for people that are just getting acquainted with the cryptocurrency space. The interface works as much like a traditional bank as you could expect, considering Coinbase is not a bank, so it's very easy for users to get a handle on what is going on.

Storing money long-term in Coinbase is not particularly advisable, as the nature of cryptocurrency is that you are to trust no one with your secure keys. By using Coinbase, you are inherently breaking that idea, and trusting Coinbase to keep your funds secure for you.
