Today, my organization mainly uses Cloudflare's WAF, with the benefits of the Enterprise plan. We actually use almost the entire product portfolio, such as DNS, Pages, Workers, SSL and custom certificates, as well as Security and Rules. We also use the free plan domains for sites with few traffic or less relevance, but the features available in the free plan are exceptional and very helpful.
Pros
Automated DDoS Protection
WAF
Workers
SSL
Pages
Rules
Proteção automatizada para DDoS
Cons
Rules Distribution, difficult to find where the rules are that were previously grouped in Pages Rules
Cloudflare Pages monitoring, issues regarding the number of deployments performed and other features that are limited by plan, do not have the metrics that should be included with the workers.
Logic of rules, sometimes they change, and a rule that previously worked with * or contains, no longer works. Or the logic AND, OR.
Ou a lógica AND , OR.
Likelihood to Recommend
In my opinion, Cloudflare is completely appropriate, and in terms of security and performance, it is currently at the top. As for WAF, there are no comparisons. Some improvements that have been added in recent months have been sensational. The analytics, where you can check events for the entire account, are the only things that leave something to be desired. It is more confusing to keep looking for the option to create a rule that was previously at hand.

We use Cloudflare to only manage our DNS records. This includes DNS records related to email, websites, etc.
Pros
You can add notes to DNS records for documentation
You can add multiple people to your console to manage DNS records
You can always buy other Cloudflare products to gain visibility into the usage of your DNS records and add security around your DNS records
Cloudflare does a good job against DDOS attacks
Cons
I wish there was a visibility feature for free that would just let you know the last time a DNS record was last used.

As we simply use Cloudflare as our DNS provider and it's free, Cloudflare has been great for that. I have heard nothing but good things about Cloudflare in general, so I would recommend looking at their products. Currently, we are exploring some of their other products.
Cloudflare is an invaluable product in our company which we recommend to all our clients when we onboard them unless they already use it. We make use of a variety of the services it offers, but mostly depend on the DNS, WAF and CDN capabilities. Cloudflare helps the devops team daily to analyze traffic incoming to the many sites we manage and host; to prevent DDOS attacks; to implement robust security mechanisms with the WAF and many other rules it provides; and to provide fast responses to the frontend site users through cached assets in the CDN.
Pros
DNS
WAF
Security
Performance
DDOS prevention
Traffic analysis
CDN
Traffic routing

Our devops team uses Cloudflare for many purposes to help manage our clients websites and products. We make extensive use of the DNS product to manage a lot of our clients' DNS records. The DDOS prevention mechanisms have stopped many attacks going to our high profile customers and we were able to add our own custom rules to prevent other issues caused by bots. The CDN feature is caching successfully all the HTML and assets requests to our clients' websites and prevents majority of the requests from ever reaching the backend servers.

Helps us cover attacks placed on externally exposed web apps. And provides metrics on malicious behavior that has taken place. If any of it was prevented, as well as the type of attacks there we discovered and seen. It's also has provided an increase in pages that are cached and loaded much quicker for end users. So there is a performance benefit, as well as a security benefit.
Pros
Security, great use of a WAF to protect web applications
CDN capabilities, to be able to cache pages for quick loading times on the user end
DNS capabilities, so you can host your domain record entries.
Cons
AI & bot detection and usage, where it can detect a human vs. bot vs. AI usage.
DLP capabilities, where sensitive data can be prevented, and metrics built on what category of data was seen.
Likelihood to Recommend
I have had nothing but good experiences with Cloudflare. I also like that they offer domain name services for at cost prices. Security features all work well and Cloudflare seems to always be innovating new features and capabilities. They are also open to allowing you to beta test new features to provide feedback and recommendations to their roadmaps for various items.

We use Cloudflare for DNS, security, performance improvements, and load balancing for most of the web applications that our organization hosts for public use. It is the first line of defense for web and network security for services that are open to the entire internet, so it is an important piece of our overall security puzzle and tackles the bulk of the load regarding requests placed on our self-hosted resources.
We use multiple Cloudflare products including DNS, WAF, Advanced Analytics, and more. My primary need is for the WAF to maintain security as well as PageShield for our security and PCI compliance. Cloudflare's WAF provides great managed rulesets which cover most attack vectors, but also has auto-rule creating whenever it detects suspicious activity.
Pros
Web Application Firewall
PageShield
Advanced analytics
Cons
Add .ca domain support to Cloudflare registrar
Interface has a lot of tabs, and menu items. It can be difficult to locate things if you are not already familiar with the console.
Likelihood to Recommend
I would strongly recommend Cloudflare to my peers if they have public facing applications or API's as Cloudflare's Web Application Firewall is one of the best. For peers who have PCI DSS obligations, PageShield has helped us to maintain compliance for our public facing websites. Overall, it is a great product for security.

Content Delivery Network (CDN)
Argo Smart Routing
SSL/TLS Encryption
Email Security
Cons

DDoS protection is key for any business operations when connected to the internet, which we all are. It absorbs malicious traffic through Cloudflare's network before it impacts the company servers.
This in conjunction with Zero Trust Security is hugely beneficial for companies like ours which hold a serious amount of personal HIIPA data.

In our organization, we enrolled in Enterprise plan for protecting our websites and domain DNS records. SSL/TLS service, DNS records service, Security service are the most frequency to use by us. As we are using Enterprise plan, we made multiple custom rules in WAF to protect our websites which includes JS Challenge and bot management.
Pros
JS Challenege rule in WAF
bot management rule in WAF
DNS records can be effective very quickly
Cons
The service fee of bot management can be cheaper.
API shield service need to be improved.
Speed observatory service is a useful function.
Likelihood to Recommend
Below four services are useful in our daily operation. They are JS Challenege rule in WAF, bot management rule in WAF, DNS records and Speed observatory service. If the price of bots management service can be cheaper, it will be the perfect choice to use Cloudflare. That's why I recommend Cloudflare to my colleague and friends.
