ClickUp enables us to streamline our daily operations and our project management process.

It really brings together different stakeholders, as you can display one information in so many ways... Each stakeholder has got his own favorite way of seeing an information.

Big bonus : ClickUp setup and onboarding is as seamless as it can be.

I frequently get asked how to streamline operations and project tasks tracking. ClickUp matches exactly this scenario by templating almost everything (projects, tasks, flow...)

It is not as much useful when it comes to integrate with another project management tool (when you work with a service provider using Jira for instance)

We use ClickUp in our business processes for onboarding and offboarding clients and our consulting team and for keeping track of regular and "less-regular" tasks. Essentially, it's our digital checklist. Our Operations Analyst is the main user. She assigns tasks to people based on the project.

Pros

ClickUp allows you to assign tasks to one or several people on the team.
ClickUp sends reminders as tasks come due.
ClickUp works in mobile and desktop applications.

Cons

ClickUp offers a wide range of features, but its complexity can be overwhelming. The user interface feels cluttered, making navigation unintuitive, especially for new users. It’s a robust tool but not ideal for teams seeking simplicity.
Task management and custom views are powerful, but the system often experiences lag, particularly with larger projects.
The frequent updates are disruptive, and there’s a learning curve for mastering its extensive customization options.
While it promises an all-in-one solution, the lack of seamless integration across all features can hinder productivity.
Customer support is slow to respond, and documentation isn’t always clear.

Likelihood to Recommend

I am less likely to recommend ClickUp. While our organization still uses it, it's mainly used by our Operations specialist. I have stopped using it in my sales organization. I think there are better options available that seem less overwhelming to figure out, including Asana and Basecamp.

We use ClickUp as the primary software for our business information, such as employees, contacts, etc. In our daily work in the product and engineering teams, we use it to write documentation about our business and applications and to manage our work using tickets and boards. It's also really helpful during the onboarding of new employees.

Pros

Very customisable.
A huge amount of features.
Integration with other apps.

Better layout the task view (maybe let us customize it)

It's great to be able to store information in a wide variety of formats. We can have written documents, lists, boards, and many other things like that. But while working on a task, sometimes it feels that the view is not well organized, and it's hard to find some stuff.

ClickUp has revolutionized my team's productivity and efficiency. It helps us coordinate the onboarding of numerous new partners simultaneously, break down more complex projects into simple tasks, and give visibility on tasks and projects across the company. The watcher function is handy when you need to be kept in the loop but aren't directly involved. The automation is convenient, too. All around, it's a beneficial tool!

Pros

User friendly.
Flexibility, e.g., the ability to add custom fields/statuses—you can assign/tag/add people as watchers depending on the situation.

Cons

Some colleagues find it a bit daunting/overwhelming to engage with—generally, those of us with more of an 'organizational' mind work best with it.
The whiteboard functionality isn't as good as Miro.

We use ClickUp for project management, our onboarding and offboarding, as a candidate management system within hiring, as a ticketing system, an internal helpdesk, internal data requests, external discount requests and until most recently also for annual leave approvals.
ClickUp solves a lot of problems in one place. As someone with a very varied role it allows me to keep on top of my tasks even if they're spread across every department of the company. Instead of using 10 tools for every use case, we can use one tool to cover everything which is super important to us as a smaller business.

Cons

Notifications are tricky to navigate sometimes I have important things in "other"
The Email signatures don't support images

It's great for project management but also internal documentation, wikis and most importantly collecting any action items. For us, using ClickUp as a candidate management system has been a game changer. Automations drastically reduced our time spent moving candidates from stage to stage which improves their application experience and allows us to progress promising candidates quickly. The email automations ensure that every candidate hears back in a timely manner.

The tool is enabling us to reduce the need for a volume of employees as we scale several areas of our team.

All verticals manage their own ClickUp spaces and allow visibility across the organization into workload and scope. As we are a remote-first company, ClickUp enables us to maintain asynchronous work schedules and remain on the same page.

ClickUp is a great solution for small to mid-size remote companies. ClickUp allows us to manage large projects across verticals, time zones, and countries. It allows visibility into individual tasks, progress, and workloads company-wide. Various views are available to visualize projects in your preferred manner. ClickUp would be less ideal in larger companies or smaller in-person operations. Excel or Sheets are better suited to tracking numerical information or items requiring analysis.

I have used ClickUp for project management. It has numerous features and capabilities which help make managing and tracking progress easy. With the help of ClickUp, we have been able to streamline workflows and cut down the time and steps required. Collaboration with colleagues within and outside the team has been quite easy as it's easier to assign and track tasks.

Pros

We really liked the dashboard functionality based on the tasks created. Visual representation makes life easier
The ability to connect multiple spaces/projects which makes it easier to create visibility for each task to the right audiences without creating multiple tasks in each space
Collaboration with multiple people is really easy. It's so swift to add people, assign tasks, deadlines, due dates, and link with dependencies.

Cons

Sometimes while moving tasks it feels like the software slows down. It was on rare occasions though. Otherwise, I really like the UI.
I wish notification facility can be updated to add more details.
More app integrations are required

ClickUp is one of the project management software, and it more or less has similar functions to all top-rated project management tools. The things I like about ClickUp are 1. Collaboration is easy and it's even better with the flexibility of the software 2. Project Planning is quite easy 3. Can be customized easily to be agile. Some of the things where they can improve are: Brainstorming is good using whiteboard, but it needs to be improved a bit

We use ClickUp for all our project and task management, as well as as a knowledge base. It has also been adopted for monitoring and updating our OKR framework and several other use cases, including flow charts and holiday request forms and workflows. It is great to be able to serve all of these within one product, as things can very easily be interlinked.

Some integrations do not work as well as they could.

ClickUp is very well suited for task and project management, with many ways to assign and track work - time estimation, time logging, assigning to multiple people, subtasks for breaking down larger goals, due dates, etc. It also provides several ways to view these data, from a Trello-like board to list views, Gantt charts, and even mind maps.

Its not a secret that ClickUp software has been very useful in this organization. It has helped us manage our projects and tasks tremendously. Despite the small size of our management team, many projects can be managed simultaneously and help us meet the desires and needs of our customers in terms of communication, marketing, and fundraising. Before adopting this software, we would waste a lot of time in meetings and coordinating with staff members through emails. With ClickUp software, the process has been streamlined to an extent that projects are completed within their stipulated deadlines.

Pros

The software allows us to generate reports on project progress to ensure deadlines are met
It provides different approaches to view tasks in progress like dashboard, list and timelines
This software has a very interactive user interface which makes it attractive to work with

Cons

The software should have a free version to help potential users gain experience before purchasing
The software tends to send too many emails in terms of notifications which is not pleasing. It should be consolidated to avoid that
