Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Cleo Integration Cloud as our communication/Connection method to get files from our customers. At thesame time as the transformation of those messages to our back end system and vice versa from our back end system to the customers. The professional team is great to work with and understand what we need and give suggestions. The Support team are responsive and is able to point you in the right direction whether to support manual or answer your question. They are also able to show you what is causing the error and how to fix it.

  • Ability to re-process outbound files in Cleo Integration Cloud instead of reloading the files from outside source

  • Our major customers used EDI - this help us to be in compliance and get more orders.
  • Help with the processing of orders automatically rather than manually entry - saving on manpower

Usability

CLEO Integration Cloud Is Outstanding In It's Field. Highly Recommended.

Pros

  • Translates a wide variety of data formats to other data formats with an excellent interface.
  • Connects to various endpoints through various communications protocols such as AS2 or FTP as examples.
  • Allows visibility to teams within the organization who need to see the data flow but don't really need to know the inner workings too deeply.

Cons

  • I used to have more to say about what I think CLEO could do better, but since they move so fast to improve the product and add functionality and connectivity, I am hard-pressed to offer any insight here....but let me try.
  • I guess the one issue I have is kind of the same issue I have with many vendors, is that we are always reliant on continuing support agreements even if we originally had an agreement that our license became perpetual after the initial term. But we ended up paying the same amount or more to stay with the "onsite" owned software rather than move to their cloud platform.

  • We have easily improved our EDI tenfold (or more) as far as ease of adding new customers for example
  • We have saved a ton of money by reducing chargebacks for missing ASNs for example
  • We have improved customer scorecards where they measure our EDI performance such as one large brand name customer we sell wholesale to who originally scored us around 28% and after implementing CLEO we quickly went to a 96%+ score.

  • Detailed design with simple and easy access from anywhere to our information.
  • Multi-location and multi-device access.
  • We save on hardware, software and maintenance, by minimizing the user's need for powerful equipment and the programs in charge of managing and configuring them, reducing the investment in their acquisition.
  • Cleo integration is in charge of technical maintenance and updates.

Cons

  • Storing data remotely means losing direct control over it.
  • High cost.

Easily transform your data to any industry standard using Cleo.

Pros

  • Sending API calls to clients when submitting data back and forth. They can be tested with Postman and work well.
  • Converting files to EDI standards. Creating the EDIs is very meticulous and Cleo has all of the standards and does a great job converting the files.
  • Love the ruleset 2 testing feature. Instead of having to run the project on a test server, the rulesets can be tested locally as soon as they are created.

Cons

  • A fully functional help manual would be good. Some topics have no help at all, "envelopeassemblybycontext" for instance.
  • A needed feature is to be able to sort files by either file type (FM, RS, BPS) or by filename. Some of our projects have almost a hundred files.
  • Better, more descriptive error messages. Sometimes a ruleset or process fails and the error message is not helpful.

Return on Investment

  • Our company has been using this when it was still Extol, so we have a lot of projects on Cleo. This is the default method we use to transform file types.
