Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Cleo Integration Cloud as our communication/Connection method to get files from our customers. At thesame time as the transformation of those messages to our back end system and vice versa from our back end system to the customers. The professional team is great to work with and understand what we need and give suggestions. The Support team are responsive and is able to point you in the right direction whether to support manual or answer your question. They are also able to show you what is causing the error and how to fix it.

Cons

  • Ability to re-process outbound files in Cleo Integration Cloud instead of reloading the files from outside source

We have moved to a new ERP system and with Cleo Integration Cloud - we are able to process the files we are getting from customers that we can upload to our ERP System and vice-versa.

We have information at our fingertips to check on.

Sometimes the issues are not really straight forward and need to dig deeper as the email notification is great but not have a lot of information unless you go to Cleo Integration Cloud to dig more deeper.

As a EDI solution, we've been using Cleo products for 10+ years. Any-to-Any translations is very important to our business. Everything from Email, FTP, AS2, S3 connections as well as Excel, EDI, database, XML and flatfile formats are supported.

Using Cleo products for 10+ years, we have had zero downtime due to the product. Excellent support and responsiveness. The development tools are very robust and flexible to most all business needs.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use CLEO Integration Cloud-primarily for our EDI transactions with customers and with vendors. That was our initial use case for purchasing CLEO, however, we now also use CLEO Integration Cloud to connect to various endpoints such as our eCommerce sites for downloading and updating orders, downloading sales information for BI Analytics use, and for integrating with various other cloud-based solutions that we use. Our teams also access the dashboard for CLEO to see the status of orders coming in, shipments going out, and resolving issues if anything is not as it should be such as an unreceived order or an unsent ASN or invoice.

Pros

  • Translates a wide variety of data formats to other data formats with an excellent interface.
  • Connects to various endpoints through various communications protocols such as AS2 or FTP as examples.
  • Allows visibility to teams within the organization who need to see the data flow but don't really need to know the inner workings too deeply.

Cons

  • I used to have more to say about what I think CLEO could do better, but since they move so fast to improve the product and add functionality and connectivity, I am hard-pressed to offer any insight here....but let me try.
  • I guess the one issue I have is kind of the same issue I have with many vendors, is that we are always reliant on continuing support agreements even if we originally had an agreement that our license became perpetual after the initial term. But we ended up paying the same amount or more to stay with the "onsite" owned software rather than move to their cloud platform.

CLEO Integration Cloud is well suited in any environment where you need to move and translate business data from one format to another or multiple other formats. It is very well suited to replace existing EDI systems that are cumbersome, are a lot of work to add new mappings (add customers for example), or where the support is lousy and you are constantly creating support tickets to try to resolve issues. It just works very well and is constantly improving including keeping up to changes made by various services such as Shopify.

We have personalized attention and at any time if any problem arises when it comes to saving the documentation.</div><div>The speed of information processing is very fast and this allows us to focus on our daily work.</div><div>Cleo integration is very easy for our users to send us information about our work.</div><div>Mainly we use the application to host our documentation of the Windows environment, Excel, Word and PDF.</div>

Pros

  • A great platform perfectly integrated with the rest of the company's software.
  • Detailed design with simple and easy access from anywhere to our information.
  • Multi-location and multi-device access.
  • We save on hardware, software and maintenance, by minimizing the user's need for powerful equipment and the programs in charge of managing and configuring them, reducing the investment in their acquisition.
  • Cleo integration is in charge of technical maintenance and updates.

Cons

  • Storing data remotely means losing direct control over it.
  • High cost.

Likelihood to Recommend

It is a simple and easy way to back up a computer to the cloud and integrated with the office 365 environment. And most importantly, the data is physically safe, off-site and protected by redundant copies, encrypted with Enterprise-level security and maintained by expert systems management personnel.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

It is being used in our second tier customer support department to translate files from one platform to another. The projects range from simple mappings to complex transformations. We have some test servers where most of the preliminary work is done. We handle most file types, flat file, xml, json and integrate with several APIs.

Pros

  • Sending API calls to clients when submitting data back and forth. They can be tested with Postman and work well.
  • Converting files to EDI standards. Creating the EDIs is very meticulous and Cleo has all of the standards and does a great job converting the files.
  • Love the ruleset 2 testing feature. Instead of having to run the project on a test server, the rulesets can be tested locally as soon as they are created.

Cons

  • A fully functional help manual would be good. Some topics have no help at all, "envelopeassemblybycontext" for instance.
  • A needed feature is to be able to sort files by either file type (FM, RS, BPS) or by filename. Some of our projects have almost a hundred files.
  • Better, more descriptive error messages. Sometimes a ruleset or process fails and the error message is not helpful.

Likelihood to Recommend

Good for standard integrations. Some complicated ones are a bit tricky and have to manipulate what Cleo gives you.
