Cisco Nexus Series Switches

Cisco nexus series switches are primarily used in the data center to process large amounts of data and to allow multiple switches to be joined as one logical unit through vpcs for redundancies. Nexus series switches are robust and have a data processing units that can handle large amounts of traffic.

We love our Cisco Nexus switches in our datacenters to provide redundancy and robustness for our branches to access applications with minimum down time. They rarely fail, provide logs for troubleshooting network issues, and can move data smoothly in and out of the datacenter. Nexus devices use of vpcs allow them to process data between switches.

We use for campus connectivity and inter college connections. We use them for connectivity to federal services as well.

Currently attaching Cisco Nexus Series Switches 9300 as a TOR (The Onion Router) to our solution for our customers. this create simplified solution to our customers. With this approach, we are able to test, qualify and certified our solution and deliver a turnkey solution to our customers

it is well suited in the data center as a TOR. in some cases not suited for small business due to price point

We use them in Data Center LAN scenario, mostly to interconnect different vendor products like databases, firewalls, load balancers. Also they are responsible for the layer 2 and 3 communication inside and outside the network.

As I mentioned before, Cisco Nexus Series Switches are reliable and a solid solution for almost every network. There is tons of information for knowledgebase and troubleshooting purposes.

Cisco Nexus Series Switches devices are utilized in our environment as core and aggregate switches

I love the platform as we use it on our cores. I think its overkill for our aggregates

Best in class for what we use them for, but seems they may lessen the learning curve to bring new engineers up to speed on the platform.
