Use Cases and Deployment Scope
We use Cisco Meraki as a central management tool for network infrastructure. Our wireless access points, environment sensors, and network switches are all adopted and controlled from this system, enabling us to schedule firmware upgrades, closely monitor faults, and detect and report environmental conditions around our buildings.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope
Using a variety of different access points, switches, routers, and firewalls administrative staff found difficulty with changing security alerts and management. After a deep probe into leading vendors and equipment, Cisco Meraki was chosen to replace the whole organization's network infrastructure. A single pane of glass for management/administration, as well as a single line of defense to secure proprietary data and systems. Partnering with Cisco Meraki has been a blessing in disguise, Enterprise Management and Security at a mid-market cost with a peace of mind knowing we have outstanding support from the vendor.
Pros
Securing appliances with the ability to automatically update firmware or schedule at our convenience.
Support Teams, we cannot emphasize enough the outstanding support Cisco Meraki provides and they are always willing to go the extra mile to ensure everything is working well.
Warranty of products, if ever there is a question on physical equipment Cisco Meraki replaces it quickly no questions asked.
Cons
A more useful tool for non-technical administrators to track and find systems or users on the network. Although these features exist today, you must traverse through several windows and areas to find them.
Most Important Features
BYOD deployment and security.
Configuration of switches out of the box or replacement.
Easy to manage firewalls and the extensive use of all protocols as needed for security.
Return on Investment
Administrators no longer have to monitor security patches and updates regularly, Cisco Meraki does it for them.
The overall cost of equipment and support is below that of using other equipment previously (SonicWall, HP, WatchGuard, etc).
We have a true partner in securing our organization from threat actors, Cisco Meraki is no "we sell you the appliance and here is a guide, have at it" company....they stand behind their equipment and support it at all levels...PRICELESS.
