Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Managed Industrial switch for TVM's at train stations that reduces downtime over not managed switches. This in combination with the IR1101 with 4G/5G module solves a lot of problems. The scope is about 50 to 100 switches. Delivered as a managed service with our customer and also aiming for dual power where available. The small and affordable switches were a perfect fit for the case.

  • Fits in small spaces.
  • Can be powered directly by DC power from the TVM

Cons

  • Could be cheaper in POE version

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We utilize these types of switches for our many substations out in the field. These types of switches are really rugged and can withstand temperatures above 100 degrees and under negative 0. They also can withstand a lot of sand and many other elements that we are usually facing on a day to day basis.

Pros

  • They can stand high temperatures
  • Solid product
  • Support is quick and easy

Cons

  • Price is a little high for some customers
  • Power supplies are different
  • Power supply would make it easier if it was included

Return on Investment

  • They last years
  • End of life is really short lived
  • Really reliable
