Pros
Excellent Connectivity: Users consistently praise Chrome Remote Desktop for its efficient connection establishment, intuitive interface and compatibility, stability, and high performance. They also appreciate the ease of establishing secure connections for collaboration with team members or clients.
Ease of Integration: Users highlight the intuitive nature of the interface and seamless integration with various devices without needing formal training.
Stability: Users also value the excellent stability, speed, and low performance overhead of Chrome Remote Desktop for fast and stable remote access experiences that enhance productivity in work tasks such as meetings, communication, handling computer issues, and file transfers between different computers.
I use it daily to access remote desktops of various systems that I need to get access to. Anything from regular desktop workstation use, to accessing remote systems that are responsible for media presentations and video editing.
Pros
No need to configure ports / firewalls. Simple to setup and install.
Doesn't require any advance graphic cards for remote access.
Lightweight with hardly any system impact.
Cons
More fluid video rendering. Does a good job, but could use a more consistent framerate at times.
A way to easier switch between multiple monitors.
Adding an ability to zoom for multi-monitor display. Sometimes on a single screen it can get difficult to read if trying to view them all.
Likelihood to Recommend
It is great for lightweight access to machines you need to get to. Does a great job with single monitor displays, but having the ability to access all displays is great as well. For office and productivity use it works extremely well.
I would say anyone looking for a low-latency option (such as gaming / multi-media) may have issues with how quick the video rendering is. It does a good job, but there are other applications aimed at this that do a better job than Chrome Remote desktop.

Our organization utilizes Google Chrome Remote Desktop to provide assistance to our staff and students. When a user cannot fully fulfill a technical issue with the device or any programs within their Chromebooks, then that is when we use the Chrome Remote Desktop. Once we are able to establish a connection to the Chromebook in question we are able to provide a resolution to any issues the users may be facing.
Pros
Establishes a secure connection to the affected Chromebook
Makes remote connection easy
Allows us to provide more assistance
Cons
Would like to be able to see installation prompts on Windows machines
Likelihood to Recommend
Chrome Remote Desktop is well suited in providing a great form of connectivity. With the simple ease of connectivity that Chrome Remote Desktop provides, we are able to provide fast and efficient resolutions to our users. It's particularly great at being able to create a secure channel for us to be able to see the problem at hand clearly.

I have been using Chrome Remote Desktop in my Organization to work with my team technically. It is so easy and simple to use without any hassle. The user interface is also very attractive and easy to use and it is also easy to install and use. I can also connect with my other team members remotely to work on technical issues at my workplace. This is so helpful and I loved using this as I can connect with anyone anywhere without spending a peny.
Pros
Remotely connecting with any team member any where
Easy to install and use
We can transfer and documents easily with Chrome
Works fast with better net connectivity
Cons
To use this one must have Google account
Need to have faster Net connectivity
Apart from this I don't think there is any lacking point in Chrome.

This tool has helped me to connect remotely with my team members anywhere anytime to work on our technical issues. I can also transfer the file in the remote session. Previously before using it I was very worried about my work. but then I loved using Chrome and it has taken all my problems away
We use Chrome Remote Desktop to access certain resources that are only available on machines physically located at our corporate office. Only a few users need it, mainly in the accounting and human resources departments. While Chrome Remote Desktop isn't my primary solution for remote access, I use it quite often when other solutions don't work or are down for maintenance.
Pros
Can't beat the price -- it's free!
Setup is very easy, even for tech-challenged people
Interface is straightforward and simple
Cons
Locks you into the Chrome environment
Display options are limited when you use multiple monitors on the remote host
File transfer functionality is clumsy
Likelihood to Recommend
For a simple remote access solution, Chrome Remote Desktop is an ideal option. It's easy to set up, connects pretty reliably, and lets you work as if you're sitting at the remote PC. If you need a more robust solution to access/support multiple machines, use multiple monitors, transfer files easily, or need to turn machines on and off remotely, you may want to look elsewhere.
We use Chrome Remote Desktop in multiple ways. The two primary ways we are using it are A: Test content off of our network to verify if there is an issue with a website or if we want to make sure that there is accessibility back into the system from an outside source. And B: If we have issues connecting to a remote machine on the network and none of our other tools will allow us to connect, we will ask the user to send us a support code through Chrome Remote Desktop to connect to their machine to fix the issue.
Pros
Allow connection to any machine that authorizes it.
Very responsive to commands.
Cons
Both parties have to have a Google account.
You can't copy/paste into the remote session.
Likelihood to Recommend
We have 59 sites, and if our normal remote connection software cannot connect to a machine due to a broken trust relationship, as long as it has internet connectivity you can connect and take care of any issues that are preventing connection. For us, this has been a great side product to use (especially since it is free) because our organization utilizes Google.

This is utilized by members of the IT department to have an alternative way to access their PCs when out of the office (and just in case the RDS server has issues and they are remote). As we have Chromebooks, this is a logical tool to choose to access the machines.
Pros
Easy set-up on target machines.
Runs on a Chromebook with minimal fuss.
Cons
Occasionally slow to move around (when in full screen), that I cant see if its a latency issue or a dodgy update.
Lacks file transfer options.
Likelihood to Recommend
It's great as a home connection tool, or as backup access for users that need an alternative to terminal services. If you have users with Chromebooks, it was traditionally the only realistic option, but with the Play store, this doesn't hold as true.
My company works with many remote PCs and also has people working from home. We've recently switched from using TeamViewer to Chrome Remote Desktop with no impact on performance. I also use Chrome Remote Desktop to access 5 other PCs where I have large processing jobs running.
Pros
Access remote computers
Allow users to work on their work computers from anywhere.
Allows for the easy transfer of files from the remote desktop.
Cons
I wish Chrome Remote Desktop allowed for the use of combination keys such as alt-tab.
Likelihood to Recommend
Chrome Remote Desktop is great for accessing remote computers and allows you to work off of your Office PC wherever you are. I run jobs on multiple PCs and use remote desktop to access all of them. I have 3 additional PCs in my office and use Remote Desktop to access them as it removes the need for additional monitors and keyboards.
Chrome Remote Desktop is used to control and monitor Windows servers that initial long-running database-related jobs that require a stable, long-time connection. It is also used for copying large files that take more than 24 hours. It's only used within the database area and enterprise-wide distribution is under review.
Pros
The stability is excellent.
The speed is excellent.
It has very little performance overhead.
Cons
Security. there have been a large number of patches and applying patches in production environments requires significant planning and potential downtime.
Move to a quarterly patching cycle so that patching isn't so often.
Better auditing and transparency.
Likelihood to Recommend
Running a large database replication job from a central location, where multiple parties can monitor progress, is very well handled by Chrome Remote Desktop.
Moving data from public to private networks and vice versa is not well handled and is too risky for adoption at this time.
Chrome Remote Desktop's transportability is well done also since it works cross-platform.
It is not technically being utilized across the whole organization, but more so on a departmental level. It is one of the tools available for our technicians to use while they provide remote assistance with our users. As we have been using a commercial remote desktop solution for quite some time, there were some problems with the software, where we needed to look for alternative software solutions. One of these was Chrome Remote Desktop, which we have used with supporting users from time to time, and has worked really well. The biggest benefits to the business are there is no cost, it is available to everyone, and it is really easy/intuitive to use, both from a technician and user perspective. It also doesn't have some of the issues/problems we have seen with some other "commercial" remote desktop solutions.
Pros
It really is easy/intuitive to use. There really is no formal training that is required to learn how to use Chrome Remote Desktop, nor is there a need to look at complex documentation to use it, or get it to work
It really integrates well with the browser, namely Chrome. It is also compatible across most devices, including mobile devices such as iPhones and Android. It doesn't necessarily have to be used from a PC/Computer, and can really be used most anywhere
It really offers most of the basic functions that most anyone would want, such as resizing the display session, keyboard controls, file transfer, etc. It is also secure, as you can set a PIN for accessing the remote computer
Cons
One are of improvement could be to offer the user the ability to change the time interval of the automatic session/computer lock out. I did not find a way to manipulate/change this. With another remote solution I have used, the default time interval was set to never lock the open session.
There also doesn't seem to be an easy way to copy/paste information from your local clipboard to the remote computer. Some other remote desktop solutions have this enabled by default.
One feature that would be nice to have would be to have the ability to "blackout" the screen on the remote computer, whenever you have control of the remote computer. This would help by letting the person on the other end to know that the computer is currently being used by the remote user, and to not interfere with the session.
Likelihood to Recommend
It is well suited in cases where your company/organization is looking for a low/no cost remote desktop solution, or is looking for something that can be used by most anyone right away. Most organizations don't want things to be too complex, especially with a remote desktop solution, which is generally not very complex software to begin with. It would be less appropriate in cases where the company/organization has already purchased licensing for a commercial product, and/or has been heavily using a commercial product for some time.
