I'm using ChatGPT for research purpose, ideas, daily reports, email drafts, project drafts, cold calling scripts, social media posts idea and much more. We also utilize ChatGPT for some pythong and C# coding.
Pros
Generate data processing scripts
Content Calendard & Social Media Post Ideas
Copywriting & cold email
Cons
Accuracy need to be improve
long and complex workflows
context and memory limitations
Likelihood to Recommend
Creating client ready proposals, marketing copies, content calendars. Content Idea is best part like creating ad copies, video ideas.
Underutilized. Mostly for emails and text correction. Translation, and idea creation. Good as a dictionary as well. There are limitations since confidentiality is important and you can't share documents or certain information with the LLM (Since they can use it to train their model). So for any data analysis or deep dive work regarding strategy, it's a no go. The other limitation is the inconsistency, a lot of hallucinations for basic tasks, and you may end up refurbishing your prompt for longer than actually doing the task. E.g. order this list in a tabular form, complete column B with explanations based on your knowledge.
Pros
Email generation
Restructuring text with a different tone
Challenging your texts, ideas, definitions and plans.
Generating images to better explain a topic
brainstorming
Cons
Data science related tasks
Detailing answers may result in hallucinations
Projects have improved the context functionality, however they also need work to better structure long discussions.
Likelihood to Recommend
Brainstorming. Having quick access to definitions and then setting up a plan of action. It's great for asking about a topic, finding relations with your current role or tasks and setting up a structured path to understanding. Generating images for presentations with graphs ir visualizations is also great, it helps greatly with presenting ideas while defining a tone. And if you are in an area were having technical and business acumen is necessary, ChatGPT can easily explain complex subjects.
I use ChatGPT many times a week. I use this for collating information and research. I also use this to review messages before I send them to grammar and spell check. I also use ChatGPT to help condense content or change context of content to suit a different audience
Pros
Collating Research
Condensing text
Summarising Topics and Notes
Cons
Choosing/Restricting which sources it returns information from
Understanding tone in text
Bredth in Style
Likelihood to Recommend
ChatGPT saves a lot of time in the week. Time that I would be spending reviewing large documents, ChatGPT can summarise this back for me making sure that the content delivers the message I am aiming for.
It allows for quick scraping and research across the internet from multiple sources without me having to commit large amounts of time.
Chat GPT is not useful where you want an opinion or something regarding emotion. Asking context sometimes on how a message or content from text might be received comes across a little misconstrued from chatgpt.
Whenever we face a challenge and don’t know where to begin, it’s the first place we turn to spark ideas and outline possible directions. We rely on it for both business-side planning and technical coding projects. It has become an indispensable partner for brainstorming, problem-solving, and structuring our work effectively.
Pros
Explaining complex concepts from a first principle approach and really helping you understand them
Ingesting files to give in context answers
Image generation is great for presentations
Cons
Wish it had support for better slides generation. Sometimes we found ourselves using chatgpt to outline a presentation but build it ourselves or use a tool like Gamma
Maybe a chepear $10 plan. In some countries the US dollar can be expensive and $20 goes a long way.
I wish you could make projects with more files. They limit it. Or make the limit based on the content, not the number of files per se
Likelihood to Recommend
I think for a newcomer into AI tools, ChatGPT is the best by far. It's just so intuitive and straight-forward to use. I would recommend it specially to business side people. For technical people (software engineers) there are better things to spend the $20 bucks, like Cursor and use Claude inside of it.
As a freelance writer, I use ChatGPT as an ideation partner, a research assistant, and a wordsmith. It has helped me trim lengthy articles, say things in a different way, provide me with options, and find the information I need. Things that use to take me 4 hours now take one or less.
Pros
Research
Ideation
Creative Writing
Operational Planning
Cons
If I use research mode, the output is incredibly redundant, with the bot saying the same thing at least three different ways, and requiring a lot of editing, even though the quality and thoroughness seems better.
I don't know how to use Agent mode, and would love a simple guide or how-to.
Likelihood to Recommend
It's well suited to edit and optimize a long-form, human-written article. It's not well suited to write it in its entirety. It's well suited to think of ideas and ways to say the same thing in different ways, but less well suited to actually thread them coherently in a narrative.
I use ChatGPT for writing (summarise and paraphrase content, make the content tone more professional etc), email writing (professional context driven email drafting), pdf reading (analysing pdfs and Q&As around it), using web-search and deep research capabilities of ChatGPT. The chatbot helps me with professional writing, insights generation and web & deep research functionalities. It assists me in research around technologies, markets, industry and macro-economical analysis. Overall, It helps me improving my productivity and by providing me with first base draft of intelligent data backed reports on which i build my research insights. Additionally, because of ChatGPT my reports completion time also significantly reduced driven by precise prompting and quicker responses with the tool. With ChatGPT, my use cases are various like researching and analysing companies, industries, markets, building newsletters etc
Pros
Writing, summarising, changing language tone, expanding or reducing the size of content
Web research and deep research
Coding for personalised app development
PDF reading and analysing the content
Cons
Needs improvements around content hallucination (it cant say no to users and hence sometimes it makes own answers)
Needs improvement around statistical analysis (sometime it hallucinates with numbers)
Web search misses various important info while crawling the web. If this can be fixed it will have great use case around AI web research
When uploaded any pdf, often it overlooks some of the info in the uploaded pdf, which is visible in Q&A responses from ChatGPT
Likelihood to Recommend
Despite some challenges, it enormously increases users productivity, shifting you from creator to reviewer
ChatGPT is a potent tool, both personally and professionally, as long as you know how to use it effectively.
It’s a highly convenient
tool – so many use cases right at my fingertips with dependable results in
seconds. It saves me a ton of time by allowing me to streamline my work. I’m a Digital
Marketer with a specialty in Content Marketing and SEO. I cover the entire
content process from ideation to distribution. ChatGPT helps me in almost all
aspects of the journey.
I use it for:
· Research
· Strategy
· Content
ideation
· Content
writing
· Content
editing
· Content
analysis
· Image
generation
· Audio
and video transcription
· Data
analysis and mining
· Keyword
research. Marketing is a diverse field with numerous components. The content aspect of it is
notoriously tedious and resource-laden. ChatGPT addresses these significant challenges by saving substantial time and resources, while also enhancing production and improving quality.
Pros
Excellent research tool.
Great strategic partner.
Very good writer.
Image generator is solid.
Cons
Hallucinations still has room for improvements.
Image generator has room for improvements.
Writing has room for improvements - it can be more human and sound less robotic.
Likelihood to Recommend
Well-suited for: Research, strategy, generating content ideas, and analysis. Less appropriate: - For writing world-class human-centric articles - Generating accurate, realistic images - Personal advice.
We use it in so many ways. To make messages and claims more effective and powerful; to help write and improve emails; to summarise and review documents; to come up with ideas; to help write slides and documents; to provide a more in depth analysis than a standard Google search; etc
Pros
Summarising and analysing documents
Crafting language e.g. claims, messages, emails, documents
Coming up with ideas
Helping with literature reviews
Cons
Sometimes it can just tell you something that looks good even if the content is incorrect. In particular, sourcing articles and scientific papers - often they can look right but when you search them separately, they don't actually exist
Uploading lots of large documents with pictures - it can run out of credits and therefore be limited in analysing all content at once
Likelihood to Recommend
Well suited to helping solve problems, being like a research partner to you. Summarising large documents or making sense of things that would take you a long time. Or writing things for you based on a brief you give it
ChatGPT has become an essential tool for both internal and external communication within our team. All writing roles in my organization are now advanced users of this large language model (LLM). It helps to ideate, bring nuance, and add a touch to the text. It reduced cognitive complexity and increased clarity on a systemic basis.
Pros
Writing
Editing
Ideating
Cons
Replying in high-context languages like Russian
Likelihood to Recommend
ChatGPT is well-suited for writing emails, replies, articles, and even internal communication, as it helps you organize and structure your responses. But it's not just about text and communication. Reading replies is suited for getting your own clarity and reducing cognitive complexity, so it's beyond 'just writing too'; it's a cognitive mirror as well. I couldn't find tasks that ChatGPT is not good at.
