Use Cases and Deployment Scope

The biggest advantage in direct dollar terms we have seen using Chargebee is that it has freed up some of the working capital since clients are paying relatively on time. Overall, Chargebee is helping me and my organization in managing subscriptions, billing, and invoicing. International transactions and payments are also seamless via Chargebee so scaling across geo is easy.

Pros

Multi-currency support for almost all currencies we have dealt in
Integrated with CRM systems to send quotes and manage the entire quote-to-cash value chain
automated invoicing and prorated billing options for our clients

Cons

onboarding process for new accounts being cumbersome at times. Chargebee could potentially streamline this process to reduce friction for new users
there is no in-built intelligence on any kind of billing fraud or friendly frauds that happen or at least it is not visible

Likelihood to Recommend

If you have a SaaS offering and your customers are global and their preferred mode of payment is digital - then Chargebee is useful for you.
If your customers prefer offline payments, then it may not be useful. Also if you want very custom pricing for each of your customers, then it is not so useful.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

My company uses Chargebee to set up which of our plans have access to which features in the product and how much to charge for each feature. Addon features are also included in Accounts whether we charge for them or give them for free. It is our billing tool.

Pros

Set up which plans have access to which features
Include addons to accounts (whether paid or free)

Cons

Scheduled changes can too easily be overridden by another change.
Searching accounts sometimes takes a long time or times out.

Chargebee suits its purpose of charging customers, albeit with a couple of limitations (e.g, too easy to override scheduled changes).

I used chargebee for one of my subscription-based websites it was easy to set up and it was up and running really quick.
They have very good documentation which is very good. They have very responsive and helpful customer support. You can automate every task and have everything one platform which is really good for any business.

Giving it a nice because there are solutions coming out at really attractive prices, which is affordable even for small businesses. Chargebee is losing a lot of small businesses like mine. Rest they are really good solution with really good way to add subscription and recurring charges for your website or membership site.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Chargebee is a good tool to use for integrating Salesforce and other sales software in small to medium-sized businesses. It's fairly easy to use and learn for beginners in our organization. We primarily use Chargebee for transaction-based and point of sale processes. CRM integration has good support as well too.

Integration with Salesforce and similar software
Functionality is nice and is appealing to most businesses

Cons

Technical support can be difficult at times, customer support
Subscription plans can be upgraded for more options
Communication with support again needs a lot of work

Likelihood to Recommend

Anyone who uses a CRM that values the user experience and easy functionality within a business. Salesforce, B2B, B2C businesses will benefit the most from this platform. If you think you may need a lot of support I wouldn't recommend Chargebee as much due to the lack of help and time you receive.

The key differentiator of the platform is its user interface and its simplicity. Everything is organized logically, and even if you've never used Chargebee before, it's really simple to get used to. It's an excellent tool for all transaction-based operations because of its simplicity, effectiveness, and short learning curve for all users.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use Chargebee to handle subscriptions. Part of my company offers web hosting and management and this is how we provide recurring billing model.

Pros

I appreciate how Chargebee makes it very simple to create and manage plans and coupons.
Flexible coupons is a big plus. I have several plans, with and without signup fees. flexible coupons make it easy to apply them to the entire plan or just the setup fee.
Chargebee also handles getting customers to update their expired cards. There is a simple email that gives them quick access to their personal login. It's already written for you, just personalize it and send!

Cons

One area that is difficult is that I don't have an easy way to allow users to select their own plan options. I have monthly and yearly plans, but no way to let the customer choose (not without custom code). This is the one thing that has caused extra work for me.
Configuring additional custom fields in the checkout form is possible, but not very intuitive.

Likelihood to Recommend

Chargebee is perfect for a small business/entrepreneur offering a limited product/service. As long as the plans are simple, this is a great solution.

If your services rely on multiple options or complex plan structure, this might not be a fit.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Chargebee has been our SaaS billing platform from inception. The rich feature set has really provided the framework for us to grow all areas of our business. Our subscription model does have many complexities -- with recurring and non-recurring items. We have found that Chargebee has met the need at every turn.

Pros

Support for recurring and non-recurring items
Strong dashboards and visualizations to model and predict sales performance
Good technical support
Strong product road map -- new features are added on a consistent basis

Cons

Given that we have both a self-service and direct sales model, it would be fantastic if we could directly customize the invoices a little more to make sure our terms reflect our contracts
We should be able to see the total price before we invoice or add to unbilled charges in the case that we are manually setting up an account

Chargebee is a fantastic solution that really meets the needs of any online business from Saas to e-commerce. I have had experience with many platforms both as a leader and as a consultant, and Chargebee is the platform I have liked the most. I think it also balances feature set with usability -- many platforms like Zuora overcomplicate matters at times or can be too rigid when it comes to certain business use cases.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use it to perform all monthly and one-time billing of clients and securely manage all our customer accounts. It's used by billing department primarily but does have applications in other areas. It's a game changer in terms of hassle-free recurring billing. I've literally used every single other option and this is hands down the best one.

Pros

Managing billing details and subscriptions
Automating sign up and management for customers
Simplifying account setup process for customers

Cons

Their backend is great, but still being improved a lot (which is great), but sometimes it can be at the cost of consistent workflows because of changing setting layouts.
They no longer formally offer their landing pages feature and only offer embedded Javascript which is ok for some applications, but unfortunately limits some applications

Likelihood to Recommend

Great a small to medium business who wants to offer recurring services and needs a way to manage and track customer behavior, and run it through a high quality trusted gateway.
