It is used in organization and is used for monitoring,managing and automating our mainframe systems for better performance,availability and efficiency

System Monitoring
Monitor CPU usage, memory, DASD AND I/O
Use dashboards to check the health of zos cics db2 etc
Set thresholds and alerts for system anomalies

I use it mainly for checking LPAR capacity, to monitor and end CICS transactions and tasks, and performance issues. From the same ISPF interface I can connect to any of our systems or CICS regions.

Everything with CICS panels is great, and very intuitive.

For performance it is not very intuitive, I'd like to have a simple but effective overview of who is consuming CPU and who is being delayed.

We use BMC AMI Ops extensively as our main monitor tool for the IBM Mainframe environment. It allows us to gather meaningful insights about the various subsystem components (DB2, CICS) as well as the zOS operating system. It also helps us into proactively monitoring our systems through its alerting mechanism.

I use BMC AMI Ops to bring up our system, monitor started tasks, react to messages. Used for automation.

I find it hard to correct previous errors with registry entries or values for DBC with BMC AMI Ops, but automation is easy

We use many of the BMC AMI Ops such as JAVA IMS MVS etc. We use it for alerting. threshold monitoring such as CPU utilization DASD I/O MVS Storage IMS region Occupancy IMS region alerting, JAVA cabbage collection automation Use the Automation to trigger alerts and notification.

Based on my experience with BMC AMI Ops, it's well suited for what we need. The JAVA product should be enhance to produce more enhance reporting like the IMS type of reporting.

BMC AI Ops is able to assist with Total cost of ownership with focusing on capacity planning. This is around infrastructure and resource monitoring and consumption. Also we are able to focus on Rightsizing on Virtual Machines. The scope is to help provision the network resources to enable calculations as resiliency models.

Well Suited if there is a desire for out of the box workflows and looking at root cause analysis on the current capacity management layout. Also in looking through on joint development with networking on importing data feeds from Splunk and ZScaler. Less appropriate if one wants to do IaC

I am user of BMC AMI Ops product.
This product is very easy to use and it has various features.
Best thing it comes in a bundle.
This product work very effectively.

Batch jobs never abends in our environment from the time I started using SVOS.
We don't have to bother about how much primary and secondary space we should give.
Best part if secondary space not given then also it works

We use BMC AMI Ops to automate a lot of DR activities that happen and it also supports the data center architecture we have implemented. This helps us in creating rule based automation which allows for a easier operation and the monitoring and logging helps us in a lot of ways. Overall a great addition

BMC AMI Ops is well suited where the company has large data centers and needs rule based automation. This products also helps if the company has multiple data centers at different region. Helps in coordination and better management And not very well suited where the company data is managed by some other cloud company.

BMC AMI Ops is a great tool with rich features for monitoring and predicting Mainframe service issues, thereby improving the reliability of Mainframe services and subsystems that encompass it. It has observability and preventive maintenance capabilities.

We use BMC AMI OPS Monitoring for z/OS, DB2, CICS and IMS. It is our main monitoring product we use on our mainframe platform.
We also designed some dashboards that we use for our Commandcenter and special user.
Most the time we use the alerting mechanism to alert via e-mail.

In our organization we can use the AMI OPS monitoring products for exports. We can also use it to design customized views and container for non experts, so that the easy can access the data they need.
In the explorer you can easy handle the data like in a spreadsheet.
