We were in need of an easy to manage but robust system for our campus. Cost was a factor and the amount of time needed to stand the solution up. Barracuda RMM seem to fit the the bill pretty well. Having a small team, we still found management pretty easy. It's great.
Pros
The monitor system was pretty easy to grasp for us.
Setup integrated into our site painlessly.
The pricing was great
Cons
I wish there was information on the website.
A pilot period would help make the decision easier

For a University, it was very well suited in an environment so diverse. Offices, students and all things tech. Budget is always the number one concern. Our Director loved the reports and the security aspects especially. Being able have so much info at a glance spoiled us. We love it.

The IT team utilizes Barracuda Managed Workplace to remotely support all workstations within and outside our company network. It also plays a critical role in automated notifications to members of our tier 2 support for server notifications and errors.
Pros
Server Error/Status Notifications
Remote Desktop Support
Warranty/Hardware Information
Cons
Helpdesk function
Software Deployment
Likelihood to Recommend
With a lot of fine-tuning, it works very well to keep the Tier 2 team aware of almost any variable of interest of notification from your servers. You can automate scripts to deploy based on these events. It's cut down the amount of time spent digging around for answers or sifting through logs. Software deployment could use a lot of work for simplicity. We opted for other apps to accomplish this. The helpdesk function may work for those needing something basic, but again, we opted for a full ITSM based on ITIL. It works well for Remote Desktop Support, even for support on the fly for those who don't have the Premium Desktop app installed.

It's used across our whole organization to monitor, manage, and remote into our customers' networks for support. It solves issues by providing automation and one central location to manage IT services for most of our customers.
Pros
Very good reporting. We provide monthly reports to our customers on remote access, patching, etc.
Multiple methods of remote access. This is helpful because different scenarios require different remote access methods.
The site is easy to navigate/manage. There is not a big learning curve for new employees.
Cons
Their built-in Avast antivirus has a lot of issues. When we used it we had a lot of performance and compatibility issues, and have had to move almost everyone off of it and onto other antivirus vendors.
Patch Management is lacking at times. We've had issues with some devices not getting certain patches or falling way behind. I don't think patch management issues are unique to Managed Workplace though, I believe a lot of RMM's have issues with this category.

It is very good for Managed Service Providers to be able to monitor and manage multiple clients at a time from one central location. Many things can be automated through it so that they don't require your constant attention. It would not be as appropriate for internal use at a company, is more suited for MSP's.

We use Avast RMM (previously Level Platform) with collaboration with another MSP managing about 900 endpoints for various clients. Some of the clients only use it for monitoring purposes and the remainders for full helpdesk supports. The RMM features comprehensive monitoring, patch management, remote control, asset management, and reporting, among other things.
Pros
Agentless, unlike most RMM, you don't need to download and install an agent on the devices. The onsite manager (OM) will scan the entire domain for computers, network devices, printers, etc.
Remote access: Users have to select whether to access shared screen or via RDP.
Detail Dashboard Information: it has a very reach feature that displays information about system components.
Cons
It needs better monitoring features for network devices such as Cisco instead of customizing SNMP MIBs.
Patch Management needs to be more consistent. At times, random computers would run patches outside the configured schedule.
Likelihood to Recommend
Avast RMM is not well suited for small MSP or just starting out due to its pricing. It's a comprehensive RMM suite and it requires a lot of time customizing, fine-tuning, and tweaking to fit your MSP business model. Since it's an agentless RMM, it will need hardware for the onsite manager.
We started to use AVG Managed Workplace 10 in the summer of 2017 when we moved from Labtech and Continuum. The reporting feature is just amazing to work with. The most used one is the table grid view of any device which can provide every single detail to show them to customers. I love most AVG's design, interface, and sections which are super customizable.
Pros
Customer Care is helpful
Reporting tools are great
Super customizable
Cons
It can be hard to use at first glance
Does not work well on weak and old laptops
Otherwise everything is perfect

AVG Managed Workplace 10 is some kind of application that every company must have, you will see the difference that your money is not being wasted. There are tons of good templates and alerts for pc desktops and servers. Though it can be difficult to use at first, you will adapt the environment and the interface quickly.
I used this at my previous job. We were an outsourced IT company. We used this to remotely monitor and manage our clients computers and servers. This product was a solid product. It compared to LogicNow's RMM product line. The interface was fluent and easy to navigate. The reporting was even better.
Pros
Fluent Interface.
Lightweight installs.
Remote patch management.
Cons
Management of Office 365 in a single pane of glass.
ESXi management was not fluent.
Likelihood to Recommend
It is well suited for outsourced IT companies needing to save time and money on patch management, monitoring, and reporting. This made connecting to clients across multiple platforms and locations very easy and fluent.
