As a personal care company, we use it as our sole EMR software system and for EVV. The software keeps all of our client and caregiver documents in one space for seamless access across our 5 office organization.
Pros
Customer/Support Assistance
New Updates Information
Contractibility
Cons
Larger file size for image/file messages. This would help with continuing education documents.
More control over users as an admin (settings for bots, notifications)
More information for trouble shooting EVV issues
Document storage for users such as forms that the admin has access to for viewing uploaded weekly/monthly forms, etc. This would be a HUGE help so we don't have to rely on outside platforms for documents used on multiple clients/caregivers.

Customer service and support are fantastic! Having access to training videos is helpful.
Training videos are at times out of date or do not go into enough detail. Not having a document storage/notes for users requires us to do things outside of AxisCare Home Care Software which is not user friendly and also makes us have more accounts than would be needed if it was all under one roof.
We use AxisCare as the core operating platform for our private duty home care agency. It helps us manage everything from scheduling and caregiver communication to billing, payroll, and compliance.
The main business problems it solves for us are:
Real-time scheduling and visit verification, which is critical for caregiver accountability and accurate billing.
Payroll and billing automation, which cuts down on manual processes and reduces errors.
Pros
Visit Verification
Back Office Financial Reporting- Raw Data ability
Ease on our Caregivers for mobile clock in and outs
Cons
Length of Stay Reporting
More AI functions

After working with a proprietary scheduling platform and use of several off the shelf platforms, I find AxisCare to be a great and customizable product. I find that the company has been making strides in enhancing the platform with new value propositions for agency customers.
We use Axis Care as our EVV Compliance software for our company. We utilize it for submitting billing and payroll while maintaining EVV regulations in our locations. Axis Care assists with helping us achieve the regulation bench mark of 80% compliance or higher to ensure we are following the requirement set by Medicaid contracts.
Pros
Axis Care tracks all changes to individual visits from the moment the schedule was created to the time it is submitted for billing/payroll. We can also see the geo location on the specific shifts from where the clock in/out occurred as well as ADLs and Notes are entered from
The Real Time view feature makes it easy to see all schedules and to send out unassigned visits straight from the Real Time view or client calendars.
Their are a lot of different reports that are available by default to pull data. Axis Care has also released the ability to build custom reports that we use often for client/caregiver specific requests.
Axis Care has a lot of options for customization to cater to your companies needs/wants.
Cons
We would like Axis Care to be able to retrieve deleted forms on individual client/caregiver profiles. Right now if a form is accidentally deleted there is no way to get it back.
User roles- While there are a lot of options for what you can limit specific role types to have access to. We still find that to access certain sides of the system you would need to give users (Administrative Access), to see caregiver usernames to login into the system. Its a simple request that we shouldn't give an individual full system access for something so small.
The SAM/OIG feature. We do not use it as it does not compare SSN in the systems and would have a flag for someone with a common name but not actually be that individual. These flags on their profile do not go away even if you disable the feature.
We wish their was a way to limit accessibility to the documents tab on client profiles by user type. Not all user types need to be able to access documents for confidentiality reasons. Either have the ability to limit access to specific roles or have a way to lock certain documents that are uploaded
Forms- While I enjoy the forms I wish there was a way to trigger an email or bot notification in the Work flow on the Yes/No selections if added into the forms. (Ex: If a caregiver marked Yes to a question, we can have it trigger an email copy or bot notification that "Yes" was answer in that field.

Axis Care has drastically increased our EVV compliance from our previous software company as we are able to troubleshoot and assist employees with using the app. The system works better than our prior system did in rural areas.
Axis Care when you have a larger employee/client base can have some timeout issues especially when trying to send out Open Visits to a team of caregivers.
If you use the Enterprise to consolidate multiple site access, it becomes difficult to make changes for multiple users since some user access restrictions don't always apply to each site location and can cause login issues or kick you out of sites altogether.

AxisCare is our scheduling software and the heart of our business. What drew us to AxisCare and what we really like are the reports and different ways to views and analyze our home care data. two of the biggest problems that AxisCare addressed for us were client forms and notes as well as caregiver application accessibility. The ability to create our own nursing forms, complete them in the clients profile, and then have the profile update itself automatically from these forms, has made our onboarding process more efficient and easier to understand each client's specific needs. Our caregivers have struggled to use and understand our scheduling phone applications in the past; the AxisCare app has more tools for the caregivers and has navigation-friendly interface which has led to fewer phone calls to assist our overall caregiver pool.
Pros
Customizable Reports help to pull specific data that we want to analyze.
Documentation and notes are easy to find and not a task.
Customizable and detailed calendars help to give a snapshot of client and caregiver hours, which can be helpful when looking at and reducing overtime.
Cons
We are newer to AxisCare so there may be a report for this, but it would be nice to have a prebuilt 'overtime hours' report or to include this on the Gross Margin Report.
Likelihood to Recommend
If you like data and analyzing data then Axiscare is well suited for your outfit. If you have office staff members that are not very computer-savvy or interested in deeper dives into numbers then my belief is that AxisCare may not be the best software for you, as it may seem like too much information. However, AxisCare's support teams have been helpful to us and I am sure they could help navigate any difficulties an agency may have.
I use AxisCare for scheduling our caregivers with clients. We can also see authorizations and send the care givers messages about shifts. It is very user friendly and easy to use. I would recommend any business to start with a software like this one. The caregivers even use the AxisCare app and it is also user friendly.
Pros
Keep track of hours used and not used
Easy to follow the care givers credentials
Directions to clients home from caregiver home
Cons
When the clock in time doesn't match the schedule time, automatically adjust them to match.
Don't actually alert us until the caregiver is actually late instead of 4 minutes before time.
Likelihood to Recommend
It is well suited for keeping accurate time to make sure the hours aren't over for the month.
We use AxisCare Home Care Software for Client Visits, medication management, ADLs/IADLs, caregiver notes, payer rates, lead tracking, and CG time management.
The product addressed our issues with client care management and the integration with EVV software such as Sandata for Indiana Medicaid. The integration between AxisCare Home Care Software and Sandata allows us to report to the state and stay in compliance with state Medicaid regulations.
Pros
Tracks payor information well
Creates a time management platform for caregivers
Allows for EVV reporting
Cons
Must manually input changes across sites for payor rate changes versus doing them all at once
Less ability to configure the backend by the user
Likelihood to Recommend
It is well suited to technological integrations when working with state EVV reporting.
I am the Scheduling Coordinator in my company. AxisCare Home Care Software helps with managing schedules, assigning caregivers to clients, and matching caregivers with clients who they can succeed with. It also helps address billing issues, tracking certifications, client insurance eligibility, and even facilitating communication between a manager and his employees (e.g. talking with caregivers).
Pros
Providing the scheduling team with the tools to share client/ visit information with the caregivers.
Documentation. From client visit notes to managerial notes about an employee to keeping track of chat conversations. These are all great ways to hold people in the company accountable.
Helps me keep a "To Do List" better known as the Tasks Dashboard. I can write quick notes of what I need to do or I can assign the task to someone in the company.
The ability to customize reports is very helpful. I am looking forward to all of the legacy reports getting updated to the more customizable form.
The ability to auto-run and share reports is extremely helpful. I don't have to remember every day, week, or month to run the report. All I need to do is check my email and AxisCare Home Care Software sends me a notice telling me my report is done.
The ability to create our own forms is convenient. AxisCare Home Care Software will also build a form for us if we request it and pay a small fee.
AxisCare Home Care Software is integrated with different companies that provide services in a way to streamline it instead of having to find some program or company that is outside of AxisCare Home Care Software. For example, we now use AxisCare Home Care Software to complete all of our Background Checks.
Cons
It would be great if all of the reports are in the new customizable form rather than the legacy reports that are still in existence. I believe this change is just a matter of time.
AxisCare Home Care Software can get better at notifying schedulers of any potential conflicts with the schedule of the caregivers. This improvement will help cut down on double-bookings and clients going without a caregiver.

Approximately, 3 years ago our business was using Excel spreadsheets and a cell phone to communicate to the caregivers about available visits as well as tracking who they are assigned to. This process took most of my 9 hour work day. With AxisCare Home Care Software having the Real Time View, Open Visits Requests Report, the Open Visit Note, and the Chat feature, I am able to do in 2 hours what it took 7 hours before. I feel I am more efficient, communicate better, and feel better knowing the client does have someone assigned to his or her visit.
We use AxisCare Home Care Software to keep data for all client, caregiver, lead, contact, and organization that we serve or partner with. We use it to schedule all Caregivers and Clients as well. The business problems that we were facing were the inability to make custom forms, make fields mandatory, edit service codes, and maintain overall compliance in the state of Oregon.
Pros
Custom forms - being able to make forms exactly how we want and as specific as we need covers so many bases that we were finding gaps in before
Mandatory fields make it so easy to find and fix missing information for all our needed partners
Overall user friendliness, the system is intuitive and easy to learn
Reporting options - there are so many reports to help easily find information
Cons
Updating all reports, the reports that are still old are really hard to use and the custom reports aren't nearly as functional as the others.
Medicaid Mileage should be added in as a part of the authorizations so that we can track the available miles just like we do the hours.
Ability to text or message contacts or the responsible parties of leads - just one way messaging but bc the first steps of acquiring a lead are email / text / call it makes it hard to complete that in a secure way. If we had to text normally we open ourselves up for HIPAA concerns but we could one way text instead to get in touch with the lead and know that we are staying compliant.
Admin app should be fully functional for medications and MARs - you can't manage any of that from the Admin app and have to use the website instead. This is hard to work with when in the field or updating a med list while on an assessment with a client.
Offline mode on the App - both CG and Admin app have glitchy offline mode that makes it kinda useless at times.
Likelihood to Recommend
In comparison to WellSky there is none, the onboarding process was smooth and easy and Sam was SO knowledgable and helpful, it made the launch so much more manageable. There are some key features that seem to be missing like I mentioned before in the Apps or within Authorizations but overall it's a great system.

We use AxisCare Home Care Software for scheduling, payroll and recording client and caregiver information. I have not had any issues with the desktop software but have several caregivers who have issues with the app. They have to close everything out and refresh or sometimes even uninstall the app completely and reinstall it for them to be able to clock in and out.
Pros
Call logs are recorded in client files for easy reference
Billing and payroll reports are easy to navigate
The maps function that allows the system to suggest a caregiver based on their home location is nice
Cons
Refresh time after changes are entered on a schedule. Sometimes there is a lag in the update on the caregiver side.
Changing set schedules can sometimes be a little much since you have to scroll through the AM and PM time by each minute, instead of being able to enter a time.
I cannot think of anything else. Most everything works well.
Likelihood to Recommend
A well suited scenario would be where the program identifies the home address of available caregivers, along with any conflicts to better find a replacement for someone if they call off sick.
A less appropriate scenario would be the glitches that caregivers are reporting with the app. Some caregivers are stating they cannot clock out without having to enter a note beside each ADL lately. I am still new to the company, so I don't have as much experience with the app as some of the more senior managers.
