Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Since we had a small BU with different domains, those working remotely with Covid in place and teams using various collaboration tools from different locations were a significant threat to us and the organization within. We thought of hosting these new emails on Avanan as it was helping us to stop threats even before they could hit the inboxes of these users. This turned out to be a great solution for us and the team. Also, the team is satisfied. The API-based ecosystem is robust and is backed by strong checkpoints within the security domain.

Pros

Protection from threats before reaching the inbox and protection from external threats
Regularly helps from phishing attacks
Helps to set up policies across domains on emails with granularity

Cons

They should introduce a mobile phone app that suffices the prevention from threats.
They still haven't implemented the ability to simply block by TLD extension.
UI/UX has room to improve and can be made more friendly.

Likelihood to Recommend

Best suited for domains or hosts where you would want first-level filtration or prevention from hitting onto the email boxes and domains. All the protection against unknown addresses, phishing activities, and URL filtering is a good use case.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Avanan protects our online communication from attackers. It effectively monitors the browsing trends during the research and notifies us when there are data threats from unauthorized access. It integrated with our systems easily and secured every information that leaves or enters our organization. It can detect an email with a virus and stop it before it reaches the inbox of the receiver.

I have not experienced any missing tool.
The overall system performance is excellent.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Avanan is a great solution and recommend to anyone looking to beef up their email security and are lacking a strong email security solution. I like to call this "low hanging fruit" because it is extremely important to make sure you have a creditable yet effective solution in place to protect your employees from malware and phish attacks, especially in the world we live in today where ransomware is really evolving and becoming more creative to extort businesses. Avanan is a solution that will better protect your organization from these threats while also having a peace of mind and doesn't break the bank.

Likelihood to Recommend

If you're an O365 workshop and utilize all of the supporting applications like Dropbox, Teams, and other cloud based backup applications, than this is the perfect solution to keep your workshop safe and protected from cyber threats. It will catch almost everything and leads the email protection industry with the data to prove it.
